Cactuaar
I know that overload potions leave your stats at the max boosted level for 5 minutes, but could they be lowered by things like brews and ahrim's effect? I have the supplies for 91 herblore at the moment, but I'm wondering how useful overload potions really are. Also, I know you take 50 damage throughout the overload potion's effect, but how is that damage taken? Is it 50 right at the start, or 10 per minute? And do you get the 50 hp back at the end of the 5 minutes? Basically, I just want to know how the overload potion's effects are affected by stat lowering potions/monsters, such as brews and ahrim. stonewall337
They are lowered, but they jump back up within seconds. The exact same thing as happens with the ooglog run spa. Your rune energy goes down a few points, but jumps right back up. [hide=Drops]Araxxor Eye x1 Leg pieces x2GWD: 5000 Addy bar Steam B Staff x3 Z Spear x6 Sara. Cactuaar
So if I'm soloing bandos, I could brew as much as I want, wait a few seconds, and I'll be max stats again? Seems overpowered, but waiting a few seconds might destroy the advantage gained as you might get hit. Or is the stat regain almost automatic? krimi
From the video I remember watching, your stats are restored after a couple seconds after they are lowered. You take 50 damage in intervals of 10 for about five seconds after you drink the potion. So: 10-10-10-10-
Cactuaar
Ok, thanks for the replies guys. Looks like I'll be getting 92 herblore so I can stew up for overloads one day
MaxwellsHammer
Just be aware that overload potions don't raise your magic level, only your magic damage, so you'll need restore pots to restore your magic level if you use brews. Of course if the monsters you're fighting don't use magic you're fine, but since almost every major boss fight has some form of magic in it they really aren't OP for boss fighting. But you can still get them back up with super restores which you need anyway. The point is to be able to get your stats boosted without the brews negating that, so since you aren't boosting your magic lvl in the first place it doesn't matter all that much. There are three sides to every story: There's one side, there's the other, and there's the truth.
