Piu
Recently, I've spent atleast 30 minutes looking for a decent F2P guide. However, what I got in return, was a P2P guide, proving me no use at all, wasting me time having to read through all the introduction. Now, the idea I'm proposing here is, All guides regardless in the 'Beginning Guides', 'General Guides', 'Archive of Wisdom', should all be classified into FTP Guides, PTP Guides, or both. I hope it shouldn't be hard to do, and I hope everyone understands. ~PD3 [hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide]Never gonna give you up.[/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide]"We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. Sy_Accursed
Theres no real need to split them, because f2p guides are few and far between. Due to the fact most topics that need guides don;t really affect f2p game play; which is generally much more straight forward. Equally any guides that DO touhc on f2p (eg mole hunting or green dragon hunting) tend to offer the f2p equivalents Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
obfuscator
I suppose people could tag the guide with [P2P] or [F2P] but if you're asking for separate forums I doubt thats worth it. The Observer
I suppose people could tag the guide with [P2P] or [F2P] but if you're asking for separate forums I doubt thats worth it. I agree, even at least tag them in the index.
BloodAngel
Although I am PTP it would be good to have people who post guides post them with a tag stating if they are FTP or PTP. I know *most* FTP guides usually have it in but not all do. I can see that the benefits of identifying them would be greater than the negatives. Piu
Ah, yes, a tag. A small piece of tag like [F2P] or [P2P], or even maybe [FTP/PTP] would be a great addition and may speed things up a little for forum users. I'm not sure if many would support the idea of being it compulsary, or forum moderators editting their titles they wouldn't like. But, it's just a small tag. ;D [hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide]Never gonna give you up.[/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide]"We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. Shangdi
i also think there should be a tag or something telling weather the guide is F2P or P2P...would be useful. [hide=A funny conversation]Me:Have u wondered how my brassard, which leaves my chest bare, give about the same def as ur pile of rocks?Friend:HahahaFriend:Maybe you are just good at blocking with your shoulder?Me:Ahahahahaha[/hide]Rare drops: 4 D legs, 1 D skirtBarrows items: 2 Verac's helms, 1 Dhorak's Greataxe, 1 Dhorak's platelegs, 2 Karil's leathertops, 1 Karil's crossbow, 1 Guthan's chainskirt Quest cape achieved 28 Dec, 2009, lost with Nomad's Requiem, re-obtained on 19 Mar 2010. Youmu
A separate forum isn't necessary, and nor are tags. Just put "F2P" in front of your guide like I did.
