Now first off, i wasn't purposely going against you by making a thread that just asked for peoples opinion about the holiday and then lock it because it doesn't suit your standards. if you want to call my thread stupid, fine. but what kind of moderators would openly criticize someone because of their endeavor to support THEIR holiday? someone from NEW ZEALAND decides to go bitching about the american culture because they don't have one from their piss poor country. boo-hoo.

 

some of you may think that i am going too far to criticize the mods here, but i simply don't care. you may think that i am a son of a bitch with no life, friends, family, or a mouth. that's perfectly fine with me. you may amuse me with whatever you have in stored BUT i don't see why we have to have stuck up douches running these forums because there's too many of them.

OT: I just saw the topic. Was the stupidest response ever given for locking a thread, tbh. Personal opinion shouldn't be thrown in there. He might of had a legit reason to lock it (there was already a topic running) but that kind of response was just uncalled for.

It seems to me like your thread was locked simply because there was already a Thanksgiving thread and there was no need for two. I'm not saying that the mod's response was entirely kind, but the reason for locking was nothing against you or the holiday.

I went over the thread that he locked and agreed with the moderator's decision to lock the thread. The thread was simply too similar to already existing ones (No, I'm not American either.) If you had a problem with the lock then you should have PMed them about it and asked them more - or if you had a real problem about it then contact an administrator and they will deal with things if they think they need to. You also need to remember that moderators are just users too, and as Wongtong pointed out, had this been another user you probably would have just ignored it.

 

What you shouldn't have done is made a topic just to whine about it. You can get yourself in trouble for moderator bashing if you make a thread like this, guys. If you want to question a mod's call then it should be done privately and properly - not in a thread that you just want to garner attention - I don't want to see this topic being pursued okay?
