December 3, 200916 yr I'm brand new to P2P, and I would like to go fishing to just get a little cash before my membership runs out. Where is the best place to go fishing for sharks, lobsters, ect? What would you suggest I fish to make some quick cash? Level 71 fishing, No member quests done. Looking for GP not XP. Thanks! December 3, 200916 yr fishing guild is going to be best for lobs/swordfish, however i would strongly recommend doing swan song and fishing monkfish DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

And swan song is a quest? Thanks to the amazing talent of Jopie211 for the sig!Finest Fist of Guthix Strategy Guide
December 3, 200916 yr Yes it is. The requirements are a tad steep though, in terms of other quests completed and skills required. You'd probably be best of trying the guild. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

I'd recommend getting around to doing Swan Song, but I wouldn't say you have to do it immediately, especially since Swan Song isn't exactly something you can run out and do right away as a new member.
December 3, 200916 yr SSong requires Garden of Tranq and One Small Favour, both of which have their own mess of requirements in terms of quests and such. You should probably head out and do a whole bunch of questing before anything else. They're great for introducing you to member areas and unlocking content. That's the very first thing I did. In doing a lot of the quests, you'll be able to get XP rewards that boost some of your low untrained member skills, which removes the need to go through some of the tedious low level work. Anyway, monkfish are most definitely one of the top options for money along with sharks and the LRC fish, but they're a ways off for a brand new member. If you really have a need to go fishing and make money, the fishing guild is your best option. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
December 3, 200916 yr Well, if you search just for xp, fishing guild is the one to go. You can enter right away with 71 fishing. At 71, sharks isn't an option, and even if you get to 76 for sharks, they are slow. By the time you have 99 fishing, it's probably worth it to fish sharks for money  Go for lobsters, I can manage to sell lots of lobsters, always in demand. If you want to go for swordfish, I would reccomend keeping the tuna's you catch along with swordies. Tuna's are in demand to for tuna potato, and on the other hand, have decent cooking xp (100xp) if you want to cook someday. "We had gay burglars the other night. They broke in and rearranged the furniture."
December 3, 200916 yr Monkfish, lobsters, and swordfish are all pretty poor moneymakers by P2P standards. You can easily make faster money with fewer requirements using other methods (making planks, off the top of my head, among others)...I recommend taking a look at this guide, which is probably the best guide to moneymaking around. Methods like farming or buying and reselling broad bolt tips can make the same cash in five minutes that I could make in an hour of catching lobsters--and I have 99 fishing. Fishing is highly overrated. Without a level in the high 80's at least, it's pretty much horrible at making money, and even at those high levels it's nowhere near the best. Thanks for the advice everyone. And I'll check out that guild. I'm really looking for money rather than just some place to fish - but I thought fishing was easiest. I guess not. I'm only doing membership for 1 month (just wanted to look at classic) and I figured I ought to make money here while I can. So doing a load of quests really isn't much of an option for me.
