the CENSOR list!

Featured Replies

(this idea is f2p and p2p!)

like the friends list and ignore list, how it works:

add words what you like censored ex: "noob" then you never hear that word again.

but the normal censor will just stay in effect, anyone think its a good idea?

people complain continuosly over the word "noob" this solves it, plus any future word they might come up with.

if you got something useful to add what might be handy just post.

(i love this idea... ) (note you can add ANY word on it, and every player has one censor list, so you can get rid of the word what bugs you most! lol.

well, post what you think of it. (im not making a supporter's list, im to lazy for that) (im going, i'll check later on this topic...)

Perhaps your personal censors would appear as a different colour, red asterisks?

Its a good idea and has been suggested many times. I cant think of the word to describe it... Its good but not good?

i like it!! nothing to add to this, its a great idea

not excatly great, If you did this then people would be stupid and put hello under censor then report people for swearing at them

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Either way you aren't supposed to report people if the censor catches it... only if they bypass it

I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam.

Wow, this is really interesting. I don't think this should have anything to do with reporting, really. Just the fact that I wouldn't see the word "noob" would make me happy.

It should be reportable as abusive language. The word noob that is

You all seem to have missed the point, If you have people blocking aload of words new words pop up then they get banded and it goes into a long drawn out thing were its difficult to understand what anyone means

That depends... If someone is being blatantly racist, but failing to bypass the censor, then they should obviously be reported...

I think that people should be reported if there is a risk of offending people... not because the sensor didnt catch something.

if there will be new words then just also censor them lol, and the red *'s is a good idea to add, note: people, if swearing is censored it cannot be reported, and thanks to everyone who supports, remember im to lazy to make a list lol.

Banded :)

Wait a minute. It was my understanding that these censors would not be related to reporting. For example, say I hate jello. I add the word "jello" to my personal list, then when anyone tries to say it, it appears as *****. However, that player is not reported in any way.

Now that I've thought about it, however, I don't care for the idea anymore. If people feel the need to add words to the censor (truly offensive things, not words like "jello"), than JAGeX should block them out for everyone.

this is a good idea, but would only be appropriate for younger players...like their parents could have a password to get into it and they could set it so there wasnt any "bad" words

I'm not too sure about the success of this idea. I mean, whether I get called "noob" or red "xxxx" doesn't matter to me, I'm still 'insulted' by some nimwitt who doesn't know what a proper taunt is.

If this thing replaces the original censor, by all means, implement it.

I think this is a fantastic idea, Im really sick of people running around insulting me for no reason, then I have to deal with those types of idiots all day instead of enjoying the game. I don't get called a "noob' very often, as Im pretty high level compared to most free-players, but people always have something to start trouble over...anyway, I think we should suggest this idea to Jagex.
