I have noticed that competitions that Tip.it arrange often have a reward with Custom rank. Remember Hippido, always calling himself "Tip.it's Unoffically Historian", and he later choose "Offical Historian".

 

I want a custom rank too, but i stink at contests/competitions. So is there other ways in obtaining one?

Not really. If tipit gave them out on request, it would be like name changes. Thered be too many requests for it to be reasonable.

Custom ranks are only open to people who win in the competitions we hold every so often, and Staff members and sometimes retired staff (I believe). There's no other way that I am familiar with unfortunately.

We'd much prefer that you do research in-game and supply missing data, rather than "finding fault". :razz:

Our biggest need is more people checking on things when they are in the game. And those folks who do, especially when providing proof pictures, will always get site credit. <3:

 

Many experienced players hang out in Help and Advice. I encourage to visit the Website Updates and Corrections Forum and contribute your own research (not commentary or advice, of course). It's the best way to get the Crew to notice you. :thumbsup:

Usually every 4-6 months or so. Sometimes there will be a longer stretch without one.
