Bandits vs. Giant Spiders

Which is better? I seem to get the same amount of experience from each, but I'm taking less damage from Bandits than Spiders.

 

A lot more Spiders means less time to wait for respawn, but the world can get crowded fast (for instance, I found a completely empty world but within 20 minutes there were 5 other people there).

 

I was doing well at Bandits, not having to heal with Guthans once or use a monk (Enchanted Excalibur ftw!) A big pro is that if you can find an empty spot, generally nobody will disturb you (though earlier a 116 tried to kick me out of the world LOL).

 

 

Also, is Guthans even worth using at this point? I don't have enough cash to afford a BCP and tassets, and don't feel like getting a Torso. Would Void Melee work fine here, with only 80 Defense (also have Excalibur spec)?

 

 

Also, is it worth buying an SS for Strength training? Or should I just use D Scimmy and Rune Defender?

Buy an SS definitely. You wouldn't use a Scimitar over a whip for attack, so dont use one over the strength training equivilant.

 

As for void... I would use it with 80 defence. I even used it at Bandits with 70 defence and, although i did need to eat quite a bit, i was using Dbaxe spec. Dont bother with guthans. Taken noted tunas to bandits and just sell to shop if you do need.

 

Oh, and people [bleep] saying bandits gets busy. I find it really easy to get a world, and when i do, even at 104cb, i dont get bothered much.

I prefer spiders, sure it may get busy but I don't have to fuss over spawns because generally there will always be one attacking me (theres also like 4 spots for spiders). I bring a bunyip though so on the off chance spiders do more damage (and they may) my bunyip covers me anyways.

If I could use a Bunyip, I'd have another method. But I only have the charms for 64 Summoning, and don't feel like spending the cash lol. So just using my Penguin Points on it (still gonna take me like 8 weeks or so to get to 68 =/)

For less competition, try using the spots outside (purple dots), not inside the tents.

Enchanted excalibur spec alone should be fine, but do bring along your guthans in case when you get unlucky.

me i did spiders from 80 attack str def and hp all the way to 99 which is about 180,000 in total (60k each)

 

and for the 98's to 99 got them in less than a day so 1.2mil and the strength one i used d simmy and defender with worrier ring as

 

the ss seemed to hit to many 0's as with the d simmy and defender i had so much slash attck bonus i was not hitting no way as many 0's

 

and rest of my gear was just guthans and Excalibur with combat potion (4)'s

 

just my point of view and takes what 10 minz to find a world i did it in 103 97 % of time.

Personally, you have the right levels, so I would suggest doing Defender of Varrock and then training at armoured zombies. I would definitely say that you should get an SS also, as it hits well, and often
