Does anybody know the decay rates of the Essence Pouches ?

 

Once the Giant pouch has degraded will last if used untill the Large pouch degrades, if it does

then I can get them both repaired at the same time..

decays within 10 full uses (120 essences) for the giant pouch, 29 full uses (261 essences) for the large pouch and 45 full uses (270 essences) for the medium pouch.

You lose 3 ess per trip when using a degraded giant pouch.

but now with lunar reparing them is way easier. just contact the dark mage using npc contact and he will repair what you have in your inventory

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I have a related question! Seeing as the giant pouch degrades so quickly.. is it worth it to just let it stay degraded until your large pouch degrades as well? Or no? Time-wise. Thanks, and sorry again!

Depends on what method you use, I would just let it stay degraded because the time you use to repair it can be used to just rc that amount of ess you can carry.

i guess best would be to do the maths and be on lunar when do serious rs for repair using NPC contact.

 

now that i think of it : i guess Dark Mage repairs pouches even if they were not damaged yet ? i'm not sure not much of a rcer (did a graak tonight cause can use nats that's it). If my large pouch gets damaged and i repair them... my medium one will not be damaged 16 trips later, and i'll have large one damaged again 29 uses later ?

Usually it is best to repair right away (do not use NPC contact - abyss trips only add several seconds to your trip if you're graahking or doing astrals, and almost no time if you're using the abyss anyway)

 

The only exception is when you 3 pouch graahk, since a step 1 degraded pouch will still hold all the essence you need.
