squidsquash
I have been given a slayer task that takes me deep into the dark caves of lumbridge, so I went down there with a candle. The stupid thing seemed to burn out every minute, so I was taking huge damage and I just teled the hell outta there. Where can I get a more reliable light source? Sparkplug234
Any lantern will do the job a lot better then a candle.i personally use bulls eye lanterns and it works fine don't think it goes out at all.

Most defenitely use a Bullseye lantern. All you need is 49 firemaking to light it. Another alternative is the Seers Headband. You don't have to light it, but it acts as a lightsource. You don't even need to wear it, just have it in your inventory. Hope this helps! <3: http://sign.tip.it/1/6/24/304/lady_scm.png Drops/Clue Finds:Shield left half: 1,Dragon plateskirt: 1, Warrior's Helm: 1, Obsidian Cape: 1, Robin Hood Hat: 1, Dragon Platelegs: 1, Dragon Boots: 4, Amulet of Ranging:
squidsquash
It helps a lot, but I've been trying to buy one off the GE for awhile now :/ Are there any NPCs who sell them?
cookie1762
You could easily make one if you can't buy on ge. All you need is 49 smithing to make lantern (steel bar) and 49 crafting to make lens molten glass + glassblower). Fill it by using one swamp tar on a lamp oil still, then using the lantern on the still. Sort of a long process, but it will never burn out. There is a still in the chemists house in rimmington. You can also buy in Dorgesh-Kaan in Miltogs Lamp's shop, there is also a still next to him so you can fill the lantern you get here also with one swamp tar. <3: Edited December 17, 2009 by cookie1762 http://sign.tip.it/1/6/24/304/lady_scm.png Drops/Clue Finds:Shield left half: 1,Dragon plateskirt: 1, Warrior's Helm: 1, Obsidian Cape: 1, Robin Hood Hat: 1, Dragon Platelegs: 1, Dragon Boots: 4, Amulet of Ranging:
qeltar
Not sure what you're fighting, but another option is to finish part of the Seers Achievement Diary and use the headband. Saves an inventory slot for drops.
