Tormented Demons without 88 summoning

I just finished While Guthix Sleeps and I'm interested in killing Tormented Demons. I don't, however, have 88 summoning (I have 73 summoning and enough charms for 81 if I was to really push it), so I was wondering what changes I would need to make in order to kill them effectively. I don't care about being super efficient, I just don't want to go there and completely screw everything up. What would I need to change from the inventories that I see in guides to make up for the lack of a unicorn?

EDIT: Okay, new question. What is the best way to deal with accidentally getting piled by demons? I currently take the coward's way out (run out of the area with the demons then log out and wait from them to disperse), but I get the feeling that there has to be a better way to do that.

Just bring a war tortoise full of food, and bring maybe 6 prayer pots along with a super attack, super strength, and range potion. Based on how long you last, and how much food you use/prayer pots you use, adjust your inventory. You won't get 20+ kills per trip, but you should still do good enough.

I'm in the same boat as you; just completed the quest and no 88 summoning. I'm slowly getting the habg of soloing now though using this guide. I bring a super set and a ranging pot, 6 pray pots and a t-bird full of food. A tort would obviously be better, but i'm just checking them out atm.

I'm surprised -- the learning curve for these beasts is quite steep (seriously, the first times I was there, I only got 1-2 kills with a tortoise full of sharks because I kept getting piled/forgetting to switch prayer/everything else I could do wrong) but I'm starting to get the hang of it. Right now, I couldn't care less if these things didn't drop anything -- they're just fun to kill. The possibility of large piles of cash is actually an afterthought to me right now.

A BoB works for pretty long, although a unicorn lets you camp. Once you feel that you can handle the micro-management of all of it remember to bring an elemental titan pouch + scrolls in your BoB, it'll extend your trips by a long time if you can prayer switch fast (EE is invalueable aswell. Not really worth bringing a damaging special attack. SGS isn't all too great here).

Good luck on the drops, forgetting about them is the best thing you can do. Less disapointment on dry runs and even more exciting when you do get them

Using the first spot(when you arrive at the Demons) you're able to get attacked by 3 - you can navigate around the rocks so that only one can hit you. It's hard to explain without pictures but if you mess about there you should get the hang of it. Though I don't use the spot most guides recommend - I probably can't be of much help due to that.

Either way, if logging out works for you, stick to it! Nothing shameless about it, and the efficiency of trapping others just to get them off you later can be outweighed by the added danger of three on you.
