December 26, 200916 yr So for Xmas I got some Skullcandys which I really like. (Lowrider model, essentially smallish headphones that can fold and have individual wires to each speaker (no wire through headband)) I want to know want I ought not to do (besides not wrap the wire around the mp3) and if there is anything besides being careful with them that I can do to prolong the life of them. Link to the headphones on Skullcandy's website: http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/lowrider-green-black.html Also wondering if Ink'd earbuds or the Chops are a better choice. I've never owned a pair of in-ear buds that actually stay in... Anybody have this problem with other buds and can tell me if they work well or not? sig by Soa.....tip.it times.....art & mediadeviantart/flickr/last.fm/steam/twitter/tumblr/youtube
December 26, 200916 yr Skull candy is over priced crap from my experiance and many other people i know, they are cheaply made and poor sound quality. I use the Ipod earbuds and they always stay in and have good sound. I wrap my wires around my Ipod touch and my old nano. I would suggest keeping them in you pocket/backpack/car when not in use instead of wrapping them around though. PSN: Skaterguy1224 Tactical Nukes - 22
December 26, 200916 yr Frustratingly, I find there's very little you can do to make your ear/headphones last longer, and I tend to have to replace mine every 8 or so months.. As you said, don't wrap the wire around anything, and make sure you avoid tugging on it sharply. I wish I had some secret way to make headphones last longer..

Step one: don't turn them up until they clip. number one cause of broken headphones. headphones are also practically unrepairable because it's just not worth repairing, so once they're gone, they're gone :) earbuds you should wrap around the back of your ear, over the top and into your ear, and wear them in the reverse ear. Much more direct and gravity is on your side. those arn't great, go with some sennheisers if you want good sound for that price range.
December 27, 200916 yr i have exactly the same pair, Only advice i can give is fairly common sense stuff, such as be careful when storing them, not dropping, rough usage etc. Attack - Strength - Defence - Hitpoints - Range - Fletching - Cooking - Thieving - Woodcutting - Hunter - Farming - SlaYer - Summoning Mining ~~ Whips : 30 ~ 90+ barrows drops ~~ Tal Shiar Alliance ~ W132 ~~ 2230+ total ~

I've had my K-66 headphones (40$) for around 6 years, they've been launched across the room with a leg by a wire, dropped, stepped on, etc and are still alive, and the sound is great. On topic: Try not to drop them and do not play loud music through them to prolong the life.
December 28, 200916 yr Don't wrap the wires round your mp3. The bottom wire will break, like mine -.- My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
