Vera feels around the piece of land, and then pulls herself up, and slowly walks forward, feeling the ground in front of her so as not to fall in again.

Kemios puts the crystal in the magical items pile and continues sifting. (again, on auto-sort mode)

Vera-

You dive down a bit and then feel a massive tenacled monster!

Ares returns to the book and studies it for another 15 minutes, hoping to gain the ability to write his message.

Vera pulls out her dagger, and stabs at it.

(That sounds good to me, Retech. But anything else that's special Kemios finds while you're gone he's gonna keep. (Not magical items, but special ores and stuff like that.))

Ares-

The book seems only to deal with animals and their names.

Umbra finishes meditating

Igos checks to see in what direction the lion's head is pointing.

Vera-

You stab the monster. Nothing seems to happen. You start to want to breath.

Igos-

The Lion is sticking out the wall, so is facing the other wall.

Vera kicks off the monster and tries to make her way to the surface. Is the thing moving?

Vera gets to the surface.

I dive back down. Is the monster moving at all or did the others kill it a long time ago?

Kemios pockets the coin and lantern, and continues auto-sifting.

Vera-

It was killed a long time ago.

Igos grabs a rock and throws it in the direction that the lion is pointing.

Vera explores the rest of the underwater area, looking for a path or anything, coming up for air when needed.

Ares puts the book back, and then gestures to the man, pointing towards the bookcase. SInce the man already knows I'm trying to learn the language, he should pick out a book suited to that purpose, right?
