You find signs for the town of exile.

Kamios grows some vines

Jen hangs back and keeps guard while Ares and Nick check the chest for traps, then open it to see what "phat lewt" they get.

Ares is stopped by the torrent of water.

I am going to try and make a grappling hook until I succeed (Going on auto pilot) at which point I will use it and the rope to get across the river.

Kemios cuts the vines with the metal, and pockets both, thinking he'll make his armor later. He then goes to examine the pillars.

Nick

The chest contains the following note:

 

To pass these plates there are two ways.

The first is to balance between the cracks.

The second is to find the one in each that does not work.

Umbra enters the town, and immediately gets to the tavern, he sits down at a table but does not order a drink as he is completely broke.

 

He then notices a man sitting at a table next to his, his money pouch is hanging loose, I attempt to steal the money pouch

Grim makes a grappling hook. (No xp)

Note computer may crash momentarily.

Ares tries to get back to the room with the chest.

 

Nick goes forward into the pressure plates, and attempts to make it to the other side by balancing between the cracks (I'm pretty sure I have the highest dexterity out of everyone)

 

Jen starts examining the plates to try and find the one that doesn't work for the first row.

 

(I hope they don't mind that I've commandeered their characters, but the alternative is to have a bunch of mutes following me around)

Umbra fails to steal the money pouch. He gets beaten up and is thrown out of the tavern.

Umbra gets up, and is a bit dazed but that is shrugged off

 

Begins to look around for any opportunities for thievery

Ares-

You can't get past the water

Nick-

You balance past the first row.

Jen-

You work out that the pressure plates need to be stepped on to work out which one works, or not.

Kemios continues examining the pillars.

Nick ties a vine to himself and loops it around the ceiling, using it as a kind of balancing rope to make sure he doesn't slip and fall onto a pressure plate. The vine can support his whole weight, and his upper body is incredibly strong (archer...), so if he starts losing balance he can just lift himself up and then set himself down again and continue.

Nick continues his "acrobatic feat" or whatever, and tries to make it to the other side (just tell me if I make it to the other side, rather then going row by row).

 

Jen moves back to the other room and both her and Ares concentrate ice to freeze the water again and build a temporary bridge to get Ares across again.

Umbra looks around and sees a freshly baked pie cooling on a window ledge. It seems that Exile is not all shops and dungeons and Inns.

(Computer died, by the way)

Kemios regards the pillars, they seem to be magical...that is all you can tell.

Umbra sighs at his bad luck

 

He then runs at the pie and tries to make run with it out of the village into a forest

ouch archi. Grim attaches the grappling hook to the rope and attaches the other end of the rope to a rock. He then attempts to throw the grappling hook across the water and have it latch on to something. (not that I tied the not so I could be it back and the rock is a large and heavy one )

Kemios forms a shield of sound around himself, and will continue to attempt to do so until he actually does.

Ares-

Gets across the water.

 

Nick-

(I have told you, no advantages) Nick falls over on the last pressure plate. Nothing happens.

Umbra steals the pie, and is seen. He is chased by a woman holding a rolling pin. But he escapes.

Nick proceeds down the corridor into the room with the gated room with the 4 chests. He examines the pillars arrayed along the wall.

 

Using the vine that Nick tied to the roof in the middle, Jen and Ares swing across the pressure plates to the other side.

And yes I do have the highest dexterity because I got it through the game.

Umbra runs into the forest near-by and begins to chow down on the pie
