Igos rubs his temple and continues to speak. "I know some of you are disturbed by the recent events. We need to work together if we are to make it throught these dark times. To improve our security, I would like to announce that I will begin the construction of stone walls. (directed towards the Potsdel residents) What of the chapel and the relics? The bishop in Caster told me that we must continue the faith if anything is to happen to them."

Archarnis checks his progress on the mirror.

Sigh... I start a forest fire with bolts of abyssal fire. I then continue walking off.

Igos-

They grumble a lot but you sense they arn't going to leave.

 

Archarnis is almost there.

Grim-

The Forest Fire erupts very rapidly, soon turning the air black as night, as well as being difficult to breath.

Igos thanks the residents for their (slight) cooperation. He also announces that the chapel will recieve some improvements soon. He then goes to the stoneworkers and asks them how much the stone walls will cost.

 

Archarnis continues on his mirror.

I summon a cold-fire stallion and use it to increase the speed of my escape.

EDIT: I also put some cloth over my face to filter out the smoke.

Kemios attempts to create a target out of rock using earth magic.

You fail to summon a Stallion.

The cloth helps slightly, but it is getting near impossible to breath...after only a few seconds the cloth seems clogged with soot.

I attempt to blast the smoke away from myself with wind magic. I then attempt to summon a hell-fire stallion and go on. If I can I attempt to summon a small veil of cold-fire that I can breath out of which would block out the smoke.

(Wasn't it only 2,000 before? I would also think the the palisade would be a basic framework, lessening the cost)

You create a veil, but it seems very ineffective as there is only a small amount of oxygen left in the air. You fail on the other two.

Igos-

Nah, now they have to tear that up, as well as the improvements to the church, which they estimate to cost alot of stone so are stockpiling. ...and the fact that they are not great lovers of magic...

Archarnis finishes the mirror.

I use the short range teleportation ring to greatly increase the speed of my travel. I continue on in a perpendicular way away from the direction the fire is heading. I then try to summon a cold-fire stallion with aid from my battle staff.

Kemios tells the wyvern to "kill" the rock using its sound abilities.

Grim-

You manage to make your way out of the burning area, though you can see the smoke large in the air behind you.

The Wyven makes lots of noise but doesn't seem to be able to kill via sound...

I again attempt to summon a cold-fire stallion and get further away from the blaze. I then attempt to find my location using my tower as a starting point.

Grim-

You discover that you are about 20 minutes due East of your tower.

Igos pays the stoneworkers 2950g from the coffers, and 1950g from his coinpurse. He asks Archarnis if he can borrow 100g for the final bit.

 

Archarnis begins finishing up the convex lens that Igos started.

I attempt to circumvent the flames and go back into town with a disguise.

Archarnis agrees.
