Blamung or Whip+Defender

First Dagannoth task since acquiring Balmung. Should I use it or stick to the whip + defender combo? Also, do the effects vary by "breed" of Dagannoth? Meaning, is it better on the level 88's in the CT or weaker/stronger Dags?

I used balmung during slayer on those dagganoth guardians with overload/turmoil, and got around 100k xp/h. Wasn't really paying attention, but still it's not that good. The high hits are fun but whip/defender is probably better xp.

New question: Should I be killing the level 88's in the CT or going elsewhere? Things of importance to me are charms, xp (Slayer and combat) and cash (in that order).

Faster Slayer exp - Cannon under light house

Combat exp - Cannon = Ranged exp. CT = Melee exp

Cash - Probably CT

Another advantage to using CT is that it's always empty and you have the place all to yourself.

 

I've been using the Balmung instead of the whip. Even though it's a slower wep, it seems to hit more often and of course with more damage.

Balmung is better when we are talking about Supreme - whip+defender for regular dagannoths.
