qeltar
Which comes to 81 per inventory, 78 if you use the dusty key in Taverly Dungeon, 75 if you use key and Crossbow for Grapple.Except of course that you should always use a beast of burden for this, so you'll actually need more. After you charge your orbs, deposit some of them in the BoB and then withdraw the unpowered orbs it is carrying. Then repeat.
Sirus
Of course. I'm new to summoning, so I hardly use familiars at all. That would definitely speed it up, but I myself usually only run one or two hundred or so orbs (after building a stock of 32 bstaffs a day at Zaffs). ~Sirus PS-I forgot to mention that the agility boosts obviously benefit either orb at Taverly. Finally bought my whip. =D
Troacctid
I had no trouble making ~2-minute runs without a beast of burden (~540 orbs/hr) last time I timed my runs at the air obelisk. I definitely prefer a foraging familiar--futzing around with your inventory and the familiar's is a hassle and requires more precision, which can actually give you slower rates if you're not giving it your full attention or if you have a laggy connection.
