Xbox Live / Halo2

I've recently been inclined to purchase it and I was wondering how awesome it really is...

If anyone here plays it, please let me know if I should buy it, and what I need to buy to play it. How do I hook it all up and how much it would cost to get everything I needed?

Thanks everyone.

Honestly, I wouldnt' consider it now. The xbox 360 will be out this month and less and less people will be on the regular xbox live. Games like Perfect Dark Zero are available at launch so I predict a lot of Halo players switching to that.

Although I would agree about less people playing on XBox Live, I wouldn't necessarily agree about Halo players switching to Perfect Dark.

Not only is Halo being enhanced for the XBox 360, but also, the majority of the avid Halo players are going to be playing Halo until they die. They are so far into their fanboy'ness that no other game can be better.

Will the amount of Halo XBox Livers be switching to XBox Live for 360? Yes. But switching to Perfect Dark? Doubtful.

With the price of the Xbox 360 there will still be loads of people constantly playing Halo 2 live.

Not just the price...other reasons too. I'm sure there will always be people playing the original Xbox live.

Yeah..I guess I'm just not a Halo fanboy so I don't know what it's like. I'd still rather be playing Perfect Dark Zero anyways when you can have like 50 people on the map at one time.

Ryan has probably never played xbox live or halo on xbox live, its one of the funnest things you can come across, id highly reccommend buying it, even if stupid 360 is going to come, seeing as its 100 dollars extra just to play xbox games on it.

get it

if u need help setting it up or learning how to play with people who play 24/7 without getting spawn raped, message me.

I've listened to the headset while others have played and it's annoying as hell listening to those 5 year olds "pwn you."

Get the premium system and for 100 dollars extra you get a lot more than just the hard drive.

Of course, because it's impossible to like a game without being a fanboy.

I used to enjoy it, was hooked for a good number of months, had gotten a fairly high ranking, Bungie reset ranks, and I lost all interest.

It's a good game, and I would still probably recommend it :P

My xbox is connected wirelessly to a home network (I dont know many details). All you'd really need to start is a subscription card, a headset (not needed, but makes it a lot easier to communicate), and a game  I am almost positive you could hook it up directly to an internet connection, though not positive.

Sorry if all I did was tell you exactly what you already knew.

Well yes you'll be a fanboy, but if you noticed I said "so far into their fanboy'ness" meaning more than normal fanboy.

Ah I know! I have some friends who play XBox Live and I can't stand it when I'm over there. My friend was repeatedly told by someone with the voice of a 5 year old boy that he "sucks on his mom's man 'gina." The volume will be off if I ever play again. :P

Chances are those annoying 5 year olds will have their parents spend the extra 100 ;)

Halo 2 on XBL is quite fun, you should give it a try first (friend's house maybe or rent h2 for campaign) if you're thinking about getting it (but usually I'd do that for any game). There's sometimes annoying young kids on it, but there's the little option called "mute" which you can use on any player easily.

I'll be on XBL until' Christmas. You can add me if you want, but I don't really play halo 2 anymore. Mainly just the Rainbow Six 3 series games.

One day, there was a game called Halo... it was great..

then another day there was a game called Halo 2, it sucked.

I didn't think that Halo 2 was THAT bad. It was the people who played it online that I hated.

so i played a custom glitching game with you(pointless though i did find out how to launch across the map with the banshee and the rocket) and you didnt have a mic, i tried to show you stuff but you must of not been able to hear me because you were just doing your own thing

when you get a mic it'll be easier and ill show you some tricks

as for the community, there just trashtalkers and we all do it, so i dont mind it. Plus the real point in halo is to the annoy people as much as you can, and with all my experience im so good at this.
