JUST CATCH THE DAMN [bleep]ING RAT ALREADY YOU [bleep]ING KITTEN

 

I really don't see the point in jagex making me press -interect with kitten -chase vermin for over an hour. I just don't.

Do you have to do it with a kitten? If not, just wait till it becomes a cat so you have a ~90% catch rate.

I did ratcatchers with a kitten...found that the cat-training medal i got off gertrude made me catch rats waaaay quicker than w/o it...may be a tip if you're still doing this quest

I feel your pain, It took me so long to actually do the damn mansion bit (Back when guards could see you through walls and ETC.) my cat became an overgrown cat, so I had to sit there with a kitten for about 45 mins trying to catch 2 bleein' rats.

I too feel your pain even though I did it with a medalled-cat. (Think I had the medal by then....) Between my loathing of npc avoidance puzzles and catching rats! I was in such a foul temper over the mansion that I had to ask my questing buddy if I could do it alone.

 

Hang in there, you will be the happiest person on runescape when you're through with it.

Haven't even finished the damn quest out of pure annoyance

Just hang in there. You`ll get a wonderful feeling when you finish it.

If you intend to complete the varrock diary at some point you would have been better off getting a cat training medal on normal rats and then doing ratcatchers. You rarely fail when using it.
