This makes it impossible to get above the old max damage. I tested CoG and Earth Surge with a few different weapons and all came with the same results. Fire surge is slightly more exp per cast which adds up.Fire surge is 32 with SoL, CoG is 33 with void mace. Very small difference, so its down to exp more then anything. SoL returns runes ;) I'd say that is a big factor. I'd say the SoL is well worth it. Also with the spec, it is easier to lure Rex I'd say. Even then SGS or ee is better as it will save more hp (and prayer).CoG- 887gp/castFire surge - 957gp/cast957-(957/8)=837 so its not a very big saving at all compared to claws of guthix. Plus you have to remember the stats of void mace are better for DK's prayer and range defense.Remember CoG has a special effect too. Personally I would only use SoL on a slayer task and only when they fix the hexcrest issue mentioned earlier which affects rex. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks. I'd just go with the claws because they hit higher; it will also keep you from getting crashed. Not sure if it's better than COG or not because I'm only using earth surge but it definitely splashes a lot less. Not to mention a huge boost in xp.
