You probably got a message that said "Driver Error"? When one person gets that everyone gets that, as it is a server side issue and nothing wrong with your browser or system.

It seems to me that the forum has been down quite a bit lately.

There's something up with our monthly cron jobs that causes some issue with the server when they happen. We're still trying to debug these, the "Driver Error" basically means our MySQL server is offline, nothing to be worried about.

Pure_MageUK, it sounds to me like the backup program is trying to lock out the insanely large MySQL database while it does its' backup routines. If you can, I suggest installing some kind of "volume shadow copy" or "internal file sharing" service that steps in and helps you get around the mess.

It's not a backup cron job and our method for backing up the database doesn't lock anyway. :)

Whoops, my mistake... saw "cron" and equivocated it to being some background task specifically related to backups. #-o
