March 5, 201016 yr I believe tortoise>yak for guided altering because burners go out in middle of yak. March 5, 201016 yr Pack Yak is better, however, if it does run out in the middle, just make sure to pay attention and tele early. When using a Tortoise, I was able to get around 1,600-1,700 bones used up per hour, to give you an idea. That was also paying very close attention.
March 5, 201016 yr No test or anything, but i say that the Pack Yak is way better due to the costs of pouches. Its 11k for a Tort pouch whiles its only 3k for a Yak pouch. And like codguy said, just pay attention and make sure to tele before they run out or bring more to light them back up. March 5, 201016 yr I have a Yak, and I can honestly say I have never gotten interrupted by the candles going out. As for average, I think I do around 700. I can't be sure.
