You find some flax plants scattered around. It will take some time to reach the generators (5 min)

 

Hakon:

The assistant researcher hands you a strange device, instructing you on how to use it. You then proceed to take some boring measurements, making little progress.

Kimako:

Several more grenades are launched through the windows, and you can hear some screams as men are hit by the explosion. The AR expert's rifle jams, hindering him from shooting. The surviving members of freedom contine to take shots at your group, hitting the AR expert in the chest. He falls over.

 

Varius:

After waiting for the barrage to finish, you crash through the skyligh, killing one member of freedom on the way down. You jump around, slicing another in the neck. The 8 men inside focus their attention to you.

Kimako asks the grenadier for a medkit and uses it on the AR expert. If he doesn't have one, then she tries to perform life saving surgery using makeshift tools made from soldier equipment, by removing the bullet, cleaning the wound, and staunching the blood flow. The grenadier keeps firing into the open window.

I jump, spin, twist, duck, and generally do everything possible to dodge the bullets (dexterity?), I throw knives when possible and stay away from the windows being fired at. Anything that comes within range I slash with my katana.

Karl moves through the factory towards the sounds.

Kimako:

You use the last medkit to patch up the AR expert. However, he isn't going to be able to carry out any more combat for some time. Another few grenades are launched into the building, killing another freedom guard.

Varius:

You begin jumping around the area, throwing knives at the freedom guards while they fire a barrage of bullets. By the time the dust settles, you see 3 men dead on the ground, and notice that you have been shot in the chest.

Hakon:

A few wild dogs are gunned down by the sentry turret as you continue making measurements.

Karl:

The sound of metal creaking abruptly stops, but you find yourself near some supply room.

I run towards the nearest open door/window, hurl myself out, and lean against a wall where no one would be able to shoot me without exposing themselves. I try to patch myself up, radioing Kimako and her men and asking for immediate assistance. Failing that, I staunch the wound with strips of my clothing and keep pressure on the wound, radioing Duty base for a medical squad.

Karl checks for traps as he opens the supply room door.

EDIT: Karl also radios Freedom HQ to ask if they have any stations under attack by duty.

[Retech]

Kimako takes the weapons of the AR specialist, as it's obvious the weapon is better. Assuming she gets a better weapon in decent condition and with enough ammo, she gives her AK-47 and the bullets to the AR specialist (assuming they use different bullets), for safekeeping. Then she tells the grenadier to keep lobbing grenades in, while she uses her new AR to shoot any freedom person she sees.

 

She radios Varius, telling him to get the hell out of there. She tells him that she's a bit bogged down with an injured comrade.

Varius:

You dive out of the window, but your foot gets caught as you to crash to the ground, knocking you out.

 

Karl:

The door does not seem to have any traps, so you safely open it. The creaking noise starts to come back.

 

Kimako:

The AR expert insists that he keeps his weapon. Another grenade is launched into the building, but there is no explosion. You take shots at a few freedom members in sight, wounding two of them. They hide hide behind some cover, and continue to fire at you, hitting your leg.

Karl moves out of the factory and radios freedom HQ asking if they have any bases under attack that need reinforcement.

[Retech]

Kimako tells the AR expert that he should be firing his gun, if he isn't giving it to her. She tells the grenadier to keep launching grenades into the building through doors and windows, while she hides behind her fortification (hopefully meaning that they can't hit her, if they can't see her). There, if the bullet isn't too deep, she pulls it out and wraps some sort of cloth around it. If it is deep, then she just wraps a cloth around to staunch the blood flow.

 

Jen also radios for some reinforcements, a medic, a person to drag the old AR specialist away, and a new AR specialist. She also asks for an extra AR specialist, if that would be possible.

Kimako, you need to radio a medical team.

 

Varius attempts to regain consciousness.

Karl:

You find that factory doors have been forced shut, and that your PDA is having some malfunctions.

 

Kimako:

The AR expert tries firing a couple shots at the building, and manages to kill a freedom member before collapsing. The grenadier fires a volley of grenades into the building, and after several loud explosions, everything goes silent. You patch up the wound with some cloth, although it will need to be treated soon.

 

Varius:

As you wake up, you see a tunnel with light pouring through the end.

Bah Karl moves back into the supply room.

[Nexaduro]

Crap. I try to move as far away from the light as possible, closing my eyes and remembering things like jumping between trees, swinging my katanas, juggling knives, and other such things that anchor me to life.

 

KIMAKO! GET OVER HERE NOW! AND CALL A MEDICAL TEAM!

[Retech]

Kimako radios for a medical team and a new AR specialist. Then she checks to make sure the AR specialist is in stable condition, before moving stealthily and cautiously with the grenadier into the building. The grenadier is told to equip some sort of side arm, or an assualt rifle. They sneak into the building stealthily, shooting any freedom member in the way, trying to find Varius.

Karl:

You move back to the supply room. It is filled with an assortment of equipment.

 

Kimako:

The commander tells you that a medical team is on the way (10min). The AR specialist is unconscious, but seems to be in a stable condition otherwise. You enter the building with the grenadier, spotting around 9 dead members of freedom, but no Varius.

 

Varius:

You slowly begin to drift towards the end of the tunnel.

[Retech]

Kimako and the grenadier leave the building and search the ground outside the building, moving stealthily and watching out for freedom members.

[Nexaduro]

I harden my mind, firm in my belief that the I will not drift down the tunnel, that it would be impossible to drift down the tunnel, that there is no tunnel to drift down. I try to propel myself in the opposite direction.

You walk outside, spotting Varius on the ground.

 

Varius:

Suddenly, the tunnel of light disperses, and everything goes black.
