huseyine
Alright as the title suggests should i use the curse prayers when I'm at GWD, particularly when I'm soloing Zilyana. I tend to solo her and i think she'll die quicker if i can deflect the magic hits she does and sap her defence. Problem is i haven't really done all the quests yet for the pray book, and if its not as useful as i think it is, then I dont think I'll bother getting it So would using curses against Zilyana benefit me alot?? Sy_Accursed
With ur prayer level no. Unless you can use the leech prayers (which u can't) curses blow as piety etc beats them anyday. Even if you can use the leech prayers without soul split and/or turmoil is kinda 50:50 on the situation as to whihc set is better. JoeDaStudd
You need atleast 80 prayer before they become useful enough. The animation lag is pretty dangerous in there and without the extra defense you'll take more damage then its worth. O and if your solo'ing you can try it but I really wouldn't personally use curses for solo'ing sara. Well i forgot to add that the prayers i use when soloing zilyana are protect from mage and hawk eye (10% more range) So I was thinking the sap defense could compensate for no range boost and the deflect mage could help me in killing Zilyana quicker since for about 20 minutes im just consecutively running without attacking. But i think that I'm over estimating the power of these curses

Sy_Accursed
Yeah the deflect prayers have swirl aniamtion things of them deflecting the damage tht slow u a bit. And I think you are overestimating them. Saps are alright but the draining power of saps is nowhere near as good as the boosting power of the normal prayers. Hence u need atleast leeches for it to be anygood Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Bladewing
You said you were soloing? Leeches are better than eagle eye there. The deflect animation is hardly deadly, you just need to get used to it. I mean you already have animation lags from your terrorbird scrolls. I got this using curses. Good luck. Jadinko
I can see them being very effective at Td's as you use no boost prayers majority of the time and use protection prayers pretty much constantly. Miseryism | Completionist
Robert_R
If you're considering using them because of the deflect damage from deflect magic then don't. Sadly the deflect prayers are capped at a very low hit. The most I've hit with a deflect prayer was I think a 6 on dag prime. If you're not I still wouldn't use them without at least the levels to use the leech prayers otherwise you're better off with hawk eye or eagle eye. So the most it would deflect on Zil is 23 LP. If you can use leech defense, they are better than normal prayers, but unless you have that leech, don't use them. Sap Warrior works ok, as it does reduce her max hit in addition to defense, but the prayer drain on it is far to large for solo's.
