Treasure trail rewards: God rings

Featured Replies

Copied largely ad-verbatim as I posted it on the RSOF:

Ever wondered about rings, crafted in the image of the Gods themselves?

I propose a new Treasure Trail reward: God rings. Gained rarely from level 3 clue rewards, 8 rings total (all tradeable):

Upgrading:

Though by themselves they can't be imbued, but they can fuse with a pre-existing ring that can (which can be unfused at any time by speaking to Brogan) to get a noteworthy boost to their powers. The cost is the ring mentioned + 250,000 credit.

Like all MA rings, they're untradeable until unfused.

I have to say this a very good suggestion, until MA came out we didn't have the biggest choice of rings, and even now, the rings we do have can take some time getting. Something like this would give rings as much choice as weapons and armour. How about making the non imbued versions versions f2p, similar to the god armours? Or would that be too overpowered for f2p? Overall a well thought out suggestion.

I support. But you need to also give data about their alching values as well as what value you would say their starting ge price would be. Also how rare are they as a loot from a clue scroll? How much will you have to play MA to infuse the rings? Do they give any hidden boosts like the Ring of Wealth and Regen Bracelet? If made for F2P for the noninfused rings, will they have lower stat boosts? Make sure you haven't missed a single question that can be covered. Check out my idea, Slayer's Intellegence, and see how much data I put into it. It's a long read but I cover just about every detail I could think of.

Too much?

Consider this:

People pay 5m for a ring with +4 strength. 1.25m per strength

People pay 24.3m for a chestplate with +4 strength: 6.07m per strength

People pay 23.7m for tassets with +2 strength: 11.85m per strength

People pay 5m and spend 25 hours for a ring with +8 strength. For a maxed player this is at least the equivalent of 75m for +4, or 18.75m per strength

Allowing the pattern to continue, people should be willing to pay at least 50m per marginal strength, meaning this ring would be valued at over 280m.

I don't know if this was your intention, but I'm sure people will complain about how expensive it is.

Expensive is how people make it. Must we halt progressive equipment just because of the potential demand?

That said, in essence, the Ring of Bandos is +6 Strength. +12 only if you do MA.

The ideas are good, perhaps powered down a bit... Maybe some art work, because everyone loves artwork! But overall a good idea; I would probably wear atleast 1 of those rings since my ring slot is empty 99.9% of the time...
