Well as the topic description says I'm wondering how many charms I'll need to stockpile...... I'm currently doing slayer and am thinking of maxing it at some point and therefore a yak will come in handy here. Same with thinking about monster hunting and getting 99 smithing. So...... I'm at 90 summoning with 515K till my next level; Anyone have any idea how many charms I need for those 6 levels I really want? I'd consider camping fiends etc; but not lobs..... well maybe not. Don't know yet.

 

So...... Does anyone know? And don't tell me to search myself; I tried that however became more confused as to what I should make which is why I'm here.

Starting from 90:

11,613 Swamp Titans(crimson charms used).150 shards/pouch, you'll be able to trade the pouches back for more shards at level 95 summoning.If you only use crimsons it is easier to calculate and to be honest, with slayer getting crimsons isn't that hard.

From 96:

7,931 Yaks(crimsons again).211 shards/pouch.You can buy 1k yak hides/day from the yak shop on Jatiszo(fremmenik isles quest required to get there, well not the complete quest rather the part with collecting the taxes).The shop is north of the king.Talk to a lady there and pay her the 5k gps,for the taxes.You'll then be able to buy 1k hides/day.

Well the hard thing is that charms come in varying rates depending on what you kill. I'll try to estimate the ratios I was getting from slaying.

 

Gold : Green : Crimson : Blue

 

12 : 6 : 20 : 3

 

It would seem that, given that ratio, you would need about:

 

4.2k Golds

2.1k Greens

7k Crimsons

1.05k Blues

Waterfiends should give you ratios more like

 

4 : 2 : 40 : 1

 

Which would require

 

1k Golds

500 Greens

10k Crimsons

250 Blues

I'm not too sure on the ratio of rock lobsters... but if you want to look into that here's a nifty calculator quite useful for summoning.

Yeah I'm trying to go 92-96 right now. I need 7.8k crims, without taking other charm drops into account. I'm on 3500 and it's killing me..

You can already swap in Swamp Titans at 90 Summoning I think.

I thought you need level+10 to swap the pouches?Oh well, crimsons are the best gp/xp.I personally used all the charms I got, as I didn't care that much about it(secondaries for golds/greens were cheap when I got mine).

Are your levels get the higher, the trade in level gets lower. You can swap swamp titans at level 87.

Yea crims seem to be the fastest possible route...... Going to be a right mission to get the 10-11K I need though >.<
