jayc3399
So I was considering trying out the members side of Runescoop but I was wondering if anyone else here has tried it out and think it is worth while. I imagine Qeltar is going to come say yes, and no offense intended I am just curious to hear what other people say. muggiwhplar
probably not... boss hunting beats all of the money making methods listed out there-- the only benefit I see to becoming a member is finding out the elusive training methods to certain skills... most of which are easy to figure out on your own if you just spare a little time to research the skill. Vulxai
Personally, I would say no, because I'm not going to pay for guides to a game. I'd rather just play it how I'm feeling at the time, just have fun. I'm already paying to play it, I'm not paying to get information. Just personal opinion. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~

Grimy_Bunyip
I can't resist the urge to comment on this <3 Ultimately by paying for runescoop, you're receiving information. The thing is, some of the information you may or may not already know. so the amount of value you get out of runescoop, is at least to some extent, a function of how much RS knowledge you already have. You'll only want to pay if you don't know that much about runescape. Thus i view paying for runescoop as a sign of weakness :P I'll get out of here b4 qeltar gets comes by now. jayc3399
So as someone who feels as though they know a fair bit about Runescape, the benefits are a little lack luster? Sinkhan
So as someone who feels as though they know a fair bit about Runescape, the benefits are a little lack luster? To be absolutely sure, just get 1 month of it. That should be much more time than you'll need to determine whether or not you deem it a significant font of information for you. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
brunokiller
Paying for runescape guides is never worth it. My blog
qeltar
I'm not really sure if you even want me to reply here. It would be self-serving to just spew forth a sales pitch, and I'm not going to do that. But if you want me to explain the concept behind the site (and why I have a pay membership side) or to answer any particular questions, let me know. jayc3399
I completely understand the need for a member's aspect to your website, guides take a huge amount of time to create and maintain, all I'm wondering is as someone who know a fair bit about runescape (has been around almost 8 years now) is it advantageous to subscribe, will I find anything useful or is it simply things that I may already know. qeltar
Then the best advice I can give is sign up for a month to month membership, check it out for free (well, a penny) for a month and decide then. But yes, the site is all about the notion of "time is money". The guides are designed to save you time, and to dynamically answer questions like "what is the cheapest way to train Herblore" that are asked here on a daily basis. I also have an investing blog where I give tips on undervalued and overvalued items; I have a knack for this -- like suggesting players buy Sara brews the day before Nomad's Requiem came out, or recommending the purchase of bolt racks right before they surged -- and a lot of players find that alone is worth the price of admission. ;) Qeltar, aka Charles KozierokWebmaster, RuneScoop - Premium RuneScape Information for Expert Players -- Now Free!Featuring the Ultimate Guide to Dungeoneering -- everything you need to know to get the most of the new skill! MstrMonopoly
Yeah, I'm checking it out for a penny right now. It all depends on opportunity cost. So you have to figure out opportunity cost to figure out opportunity cost. I piety the fool.
