Solo KBD

Alright, so I decided that I'm going to solo the KBD for my 66 Black Dragons task, but after a bit of searching around the forums I'm still not sure of the best setup and strategy to do this. I was thinking as far as getting there I would use a lava titan, but then summon a uni once I'm there to cover all my food. Prossy seems to be the best armor, and I assume you pray melee and piety most/all of the time, I'm just wondering what would be a good mix of super att and str, antifires, and pray pots? Lastly, I heard that 5 invy spots would be enough to get all the drops, is this true? Thanks, and if you want to add anything else or better strategies it would be appreciated, thanks!

If you have a lava titan, you should really consider teleporting out after each kill. The respawn rate is long enough that you have time to bank/restore prayer in between kills, and run back with a lava titan in time for the respawn.

 

as for gear, zamorakian spear is obviously the best choice if you have super antifires

but there is nothing wrong with a dragonfireshield + whip setup.

 

i say if you're going to teleport out after every kill, focus on offensive gear rather than proselyte. Torso, bandos, etc.

otherwise proselyte/veracs is a good combo

I usualy bring super sets and antifires on a 2:1 ratio, use uni right click to cure poison, and bring 3 sets+2 unis. I also spec with a dds. Flicker piety, and you should be able to get 25+ per load. I wouldnt bother with free invent spaces, just pick them up as you get room and youll be fine. youll have one spot for charms from summoning the uni, that should be all you need.

If I do this would the best option be house tabs because of both an alter and obelisk? And if I do this would I have to bring any pray pots or could I just bring super sets, antifires, and food; I guess I'm asking what an invy doing this strategy would look like.

You do not need an obelisk since you can use the one in the lair. Go with the Ardougne Cape 3, for the stab bonus and you can recharge prayer with the teleport as well.

Well since I don't have super antifires I'm going to be using a whip so the stab bonus won't do me much good, but that does sound like a good teleport plus it has a decent pray bonus. Any suggestions when it comes to the inventory?

I find that ranging is superior to melee unless you have super antifires/zamorakian spear

1 prayer potion

1 antifire potion

1 super/extreme set

3 spec restores

House teletabs for banking and prayer restore

 

Rest monkfish. Use a lava titan and teleport out every kill, or if you have enough prayer points for another kill hop worlds. The prayer pot is for emergencies. You could consider bringing a bgs for the spec and then switch to z spear, an high spec makes the kill a lot quicker. The spec restores fit perfectly in the setup (i have done a lot of kbd solos on slayer tasks and doing a spec every kill helps greatly) but if you dont have those just bring more monkfish. Have fun!

I found it is faster to take an inventory full of monkfish with the lava titan and to kill on a crowded world, banking every time you are out of monkfish or your inventory is full of bones/hides/drops.
