November 26, 200520 yr hmm suicidal talk....i like that  And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti.
November 26, 200520 yr It's just how you see it. I mean, seeing life as suffering is a bit pessimistic I think. You can make from it whatever you want, you can even take it. It's sounds like we need to convince you why you should live, that's a bit weird, I think. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
November 27, 200520 yr No one on earth knows for sure what the meaning of life is. But I've made an educated guess that the meaning of life is this: "We exist so that we may serve our fellow people in whatever way we can" I'm not sure If its correct but If everyone did that there would be no hunger, poverty, or violence. The world would be a great place. Futhermore I belive in etrernal life and our actions in this life will affect our next, immortal life. But despite how bad life treats you NEVER KILL YOURSELF. The best way to manage that is to be an optimist

But I've made an educated guess that the meaning of life is this: "We exist so that we may serve our fellow people in whatever way we can" The meaning of life could be the total opposite of that, but it's a damn good way to live by in my opinion. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
November 27, 200520 yr Not all of us have cabbage lives  I agree. I was lucky enough to be born in a stable, loving family. High School isn't horrible to go to, in-fact I enjoy school (friends, parties, football, ect). I dunno though. I can't imagine how it would be to think the way you do. I enjoy life and plan to live it to the fullest. Besides, I'm VERY stable in my christian beliefs so even if I do die it's going to be even better where I am going. But since I don't plan on dieing anytime soon (not saying I won't though), I figure I might as well wake up with a big 'ol fat smile on my face and walk out the door with my head held high. November 27, 200520 yr Just goes to show that life is alot more than it's shown to be. And it also just goes to show that we have a purpose in life and that there is a place after we die, and i'm going there to meet Jesus  no pic no proof Proof Dead messiahs do not prove that he'll meet Jesus when he dies nor does it prove that there's a place after we die. Sorry, try again. My wit > yours Have you ever met someone or of someone who was in love? Can you prove that love exists? Of course not. So I guess everyone who has ever claimed to be in love has been lying, afterall, they don't have proof. What about happiness? Or anger? Sure...you can see the brain activity when these emotions are stimulated, but can you really prove that the emotion exists? Certainly not. So why ever believe that emotions do exist? There is no proof to back up the idea of "emotions" or "feelings." Yet you accept them. Some people say the same thing about God and their religion as you might say about love. There is no way to prove love, in the same way the people will say there is no way to prove what they feel about their religion. They just know its right. Who are you to argue with someone's feelings? I don't want to be on the prosecution counsel in a case: "God told me to kill those 15 people... I felt it, and there's no way to prove me wrong." I think the answer to your question "Who are you to argue with someone's feelings?" is this- a sensible human being. The funny thing about your terrible example is that cases like this happen all the time. Timothy McVeigh believes it was his born duty to do what he did - I'm not going to argue with whether or not he feels that way. But he broke the law and so he should be punished. I don't care if he's sensible, he broke the law - which is why your example is terrible.
