Training crafting

Featured Replies

How do people train crafting? It's been such a long time since i had to do any sort of training for it. i dont even think i've touched the skill since lvl 50. The rest is just from quests and random gems and amulets ive made. I don't see other talking about it either, so i have no idea.

I need to go from 71 to 75.

I could go the expensive and fast route but only if it's still a reasonable price. i dont want to pay 40m to save an hour, for example. I'll have to decide once i see the options.

I personally like making air battlestaffs.

They have always been a nice reliably efficient way to train crafting.

Technically certain types of jewelry crafting are more efficient than battlestaffs at various incomes/market prices

but market prices fluctuate too much around jewelry for me to care.

This is true. Battlestaves you can only buy in increments of 100 though from the ge, plus however many you can from Zaff per day.

Jewelery you really need Rouge from Summers End because he will buy the items if it falls through on the GE. Plus you need to look at the graphs.

Or you could just beast it out with green D'hide bodies.

It shouldn't cost to much to get 4 levels on them, and it could be done in under 2 hours for sure, so maybe look into them.

D'hide bodies are absolutely horrible

Keep in mind that you can make 2 air battlestaffs in the time it takes to make 1 d'hide body

Toss in the fact that D'hide bodies are two or more times more expensive than air battlestaffs, and you have a strong argument against the use of air battlestaffs as a training method.

anyways between GE and zaffs, you can get 664 battlestaffs a day. That's rather substantial if you ask me.

Enough for 71 -> 75 crafting in 4 days.

The most cost-effective high speed method at your level right now is air battlestaves, at about 235k/hr and -727k gp/hr. Of course that assumes you can get the materials at GE med.

You can actually make money on several types of amulets and rings right now (due to the current positive feedback loop with the Varrock rogue), but that's considerably slower XP.
