Finished update. Moving on!

 

At Charles' request, Zathe hands him the assault rifle. The group continues walking down the hallway, Earth dragging the gangly man behind them, and suddenly stop outside the doorway at the sound of yelling and stomping boots echoing from beyond it. Charles readies his assault rifle, covering the doorway in case of attack, and Zathe steps to one side of the doorway, ready to block possible entrance. Earth props the man up in one corner, then hides next to Zathe.

Zathe contemplates for a second.

 

"9 to grab and question approaching individual, 1 to attack to kill instantly, 3 to do nothing."

 

Zathe grabs any people coming through the door and asks who they are and why they're here.

Charles covers him with his newfound AK-47

ima look for a mele weapon (you know me, bash, dont shoot.) and if anything that trys to kill me comes near i start bashing away with fists or weapon.

I've never played one of these games, so you'll either have to help me along or kick me out - either one is fine :P

 

I've played some DnD and read a couple other games on this forum, so hopefully I'll able to keep up.

 

Okay. Not sure of the guidelines for making a character, so I guess I'll give two choices. You can choose which would work in the story better.

 

1) Tyden Eckard

Description: Slim, tallish man wearing glasses and suit. A scientist or engineer. Probably not much good in a fight.

 

2) Roscoe Arbuckle

Description: Fairly short man, brown hair and athletic build, though not bulky. An acrobatic rogue :P

 

I don't really mind which one I play as. No matter who I end up being, he looks around, analysing surroundings, then presses the release button cautiously.

You don't have to be that specific, in most of these games you only need to post a short description of yourself, can be as "round" as just short or tall, or skipped entirely and in some you have to choose a starting weapon, everything else would be just for fun.

I guess I was too much on the "dnd track", where character creation is much more involved.

 

I'll cut down the first one and just see where he goes :P

Name: Tyden Eckard

Tyden looks around, analysing his surroundings, then presses the release button cautiously.

 

Edit: Don't mind which group to be affiliated with. Halifax Colonists if I have to chose, I guess.

The stomping sounds get closer, and suddenly you hear someone bark: "You two! Paul and Eckard! Check the Cryogenics room! If any of those things survived the crash and got in there, the casualties are mounting every second you delay! Now go!" You hear two distinct voices reply "Yes sir!" and hear the rest of their unit running onwards, while they cautiously advance through the door. Zathe immediately attempts to grab the two of them, but one, a tall, slim man, breaks free and smashes Zathe's head into the wall with the butt of his assault rifle which causes the droid to temporarily crumple onto the man's teammate. Earth skitters away, and accidentally runs into a glass case, breaking it. While Zathe attempts to fend off the blows of the taller man, still kneeling on his comrade, Earth reaches his hand into the glass and takes it back out holding a plated metal glove. While Earth ponders the function of this device, oblivious to the melee behind him, Charles opens fire on the man attacking Zathe, who ducks as he realizes Charles is pulling the trigger. The bullets fly over the man's head, and he rushes forwards, swinging the butt of his gun at Charles' head. Charles turns his gun sideways, fending off the blow, and the two begin to struggle against each other. Neither man seems to gain a significant advantage, until Zathe stands up from the unconscious man he had been kneeling on and lunges at the soldier's back, knocking him to the ground.

"6 to inflict killing blow. 7 to knock subject out."

 

He then smashes the man on the head with his wrist.

Charles pushes his rifle to the mans head and quickly kicks his enemies gun away "Thought I didn't learn anything from spending 10 years as a soldier.... Boy?"

[Earth]

i put the glove on, and then i run where the other guys were heading.

If Tyden is still conscious, he quickly realizes he is outnumbered and submits, waiting to see what will happen. His eyes analytically search the room for anything that might help his situation.

Zathe draws back his arm to strike the man, but Charles grabs his arm and pushes him to the side. "I can handle this, Zathe." Charles kicks the man's gun away, and says: "Thought I didn't learn anything from spending 10 years as a soldier.... Boy?" The man on the ground seems nervous but under control, his eyes looking around the room, trying to determine a way out of the situation. "But... you people are colonists... why did you attack us?" He glances over towards Zathe "Now, I don't know where that came from, but you three aren't even supposed to be awake yet!" The man seems to calm down considerably. "My name is Tyden Eckard, T.U. Military, I'm the last member of the Eckard family line aboard this ship. Who are you?'

Zathe analyses it's surroundings before heading off further down the corridor.

Charles presses the AK-47 to the mans temple and yells "I'm the one who will be asking the questions here!"

[Earth]

i put on my glove, and i head down the hallway. after telling the guy on the grounbd that his name is earth (my name)

Name: Jen Eckard

Faction: TU Military

Story: One of the Eckards. She was presumbed dead when her stasis pod reported a life threatening maltfunction. Strangely, her brain manage to adapt to a low oxygen state, and survived until this day.

 

 

Jen groggily awakens from years of hibernation. She finally remembers where she is, and quickly presses the release button. While she is waiting for the pod to open, she quickly notches her two pistols, and listens to the sounds of fighting that she hears.

I am guessing you may not start out with a weapon/adapt to low oxygen.

The Eckard family is dead, they only had one child, Tyden. The Eckard family does not go back to the point where the colonists were placed in the cryogenic sleep chambers. No military personel were put into cryogenic sleep, as they were seen as innately violent, and hence unfit for starting a utopia. And finally, no-one was put into the chambers with a weapon.

Her name is now Jen Loran, and she was an only child. Her parents were also military personnel. She's also a bit sociopathic, and enjoys her violence a bit too much.

 

 

 

 

 

What can she start with?
