L0rdAki
Ok, I'm saving up for gear ATM so I can then train and go gwd. After I make some cash from gwd, I plan on training these. I don't know in what order though, like the other thread (didn't wantto hijack, mods feel free to merge). Should I go with prayer or herby first? I don't go pvp at all, and I'm liking the sound of super antifires for slayer/kbd. How effective is turmoil/soul split? How much more of a boost do extreme pots give over their regular counterparts? mister_moocky
If you plan to do slayer soul split is indispencible. With the exception of KBD, QK, and miths, I use no alternative healing. That's no food, no healing familiars, no ee/sgs, nothing. And since soulsplit is so easy to flash it uses almost no prayer. Of course with your lower melees you'd get less healing, but it'll be a huge help regardless. I'd say your priorities should be:1) 92 prayer2) 89 herblore, or 90 if you like. Extreme defs aren't worth using on most tasks though.3) 95 prayer, turmoil is a nice boost. Personally I use it on all my tasks4) 92+ herblore for making overlaods. Quite expencive to use at ~80k per 3 dose potion and each dose only lasts 5 minutes, not worth using on many slayer tasks. quit
Bladewing
I wouldn't use soulsplit for slayer if you don't have turmoil. Piety is too good to give up for soulsplit. How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
L0rdAki
I don't pray on tasks excepting protect prayers If I need them. I'm going back to slayer after getting a little Richer and have both overloads and turmoil. Also, I can't prayer flash. I suck too much. This is more for general use and bossing and stuff. Bladewing
You can probably get 200k/hour killing goblins and picking up the water and earth runes. ur doin it rong How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit

Bladewing
Fungus gathering is easily 800k/hour with just a terrorbird. If you're just getting 200k an hour at green dragons you're doing something terribly wrong. That's 28 dragons per HOUR. I think you underestimate your money making abilities. L0rdAki
I can bloom a full invent + bird of fungus with no prayer restore, house tele runes taking up 3 spots. I have a guilded alter and canafis portal. Can't gather more then about 200 an hour. I'm using the 3 logs spot. 1 run an hour sounds reasonable. I can't ever find a world with at least 2 cannons, and I have terrible gear/stats Methinks you overestimate my money making skills. Bladewing
200 fungus would be 5.5 runs full runs. 5.5 banks takes about 250 seconds. That means you're spending on average 17 seconds of blooming and picking PER fungus. Either you're afk half the time or you're not timing yourself correctly. If your connection is too poor to compete at clicking for kills, try the level 30 green dragons with low-risk gear. Those are the ones I used to kill back in the day, heh. When green hides were 1.8k and bones were 1.5k, I could pull 500k/hour with my newbie stats and a dragon battleaxe special at the bank (lol). That would be about 150 dragons/hour, which in todays market is over 1m/hour. You could get even more kills per hour since you could use higher risk gear, super potions (I was not smart enough), and a beast of burden. Bladewing
Extremes will give you about a 5% increase over supers at your stats. Turmoil will give you about an increase over piety of about 7.5%. On a slayer task it will give you an increase over piety of about 6.5%. Either way turmoil is more effective than extremes. -- Now, you probably don't use prayer on slayer tasks, but let me give you a run down of why it's a good use of your money. Assumptions: You don't cannon and turmoil will not affect your accuracy (it does, but it makes things harder to calculate). 1 hour of turmoil at 95 prayer costs 90k, wearing proselyte chest and verac's skirt (only 115k/hour if you wear bandos lol). But for every one hour you turmoil, you gain a free 0.32 hours of combat and slayer xp, charms, and drops. JUST looking at the combat and slayer xp, 0.32 hours saved could be 0.32 hours of picking mort fungus (a pretty bad method), which would save you 250k! That more than pays for the turmoil. Other benefits:More accuracyMore charmsMore xpAccess spirit mages, abyssal demons, strykewyrms sooner = more profitMore defenceBig numbers :^_^: How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
L0rdAki
I c wat you did thar. Point remains, tbh, that I'm not going to train slayer for a hella long time. Slayer gives slow melee exp and slow cash, and i need both of those, as opposed to slayer exp (Which isn't worth anything imo...) EDIT: Also, you suggest something better, 200k/hour is the best i'm averaging in ages. You calling that method bad for my stats? >_>" EDIT2: I was thinking of going Arma over any other boss. IIRC it's the most profitable (Excepting CB which i obviously can't do). You get crashed at bandos hella lot. Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff. Bladewing
I assumed you were somewhat interested in slayer because you said that "antifires looked good for slayer/kbd". The bonuses I stated above still apply if you aren't training slayer. Prayer wins for training. You should either do Armoured Zombies, shadow dungeon skeletons, or zombie monkeys. Be sure to use turmoil. Regarding incomes... I already told you that you're either timing yourself wrong or afking. 200k an hour is so bad that I don't even. You can almost make that much picking flax. If you're going after armadyl... you should buy chinchompas and train your ranged. And armadyl is crashed nearly as often as bandos. L0rdAki
Well, obvIously Super antifires would be nifty for that. I'm interested in going back once I get either turm or overloads and have200m+ in gear. I really don't follow the turmoil logic, still :S No idea that arma was crashed as often as bandos. I'm not sure what are the minimum stats/gear to get a few solo kills/trip are, so while I am looking to chin, and soon, I'll hold back just for now. I swear that I'm not timing myself wrong nor afking. I do talk a little bit, but not 17 seconds per fungus. I will look at doing greens in the level 30 wildy. Either way, I have to get more cash first. In regards to why I seem anti-prayer, I see prayer bandwagoned a hellva lot and wonder why even bother for herby...also, curses arn't as good for ranging. I just can't see how prayer can be so awesome it negates any utility or advantage the extremes might give. Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff. I just can't see how prayer can be so awesome it negates any utility or advantage the extremes might give. It's bandwagoned because it's really good. Yes, curses aren't as good for straight ranged training, but at armadyl or solo sara you'll want curses to lower Kree's/Zil's defence. At TDs you'll use eagle eye instead since TDs have such miserable defence. How does prayer negate the advantage extremes give..? L0rdAki
I meant the utility of super antifires, spec restore, overloads, super prayers... Tbh I'm ready to give up. I just hate that it's such a melée orinentated society, and that seems to be the only way to go... I don't know anything about melée training or anything, and it seems slow too. (piety + salve ammy against monkey zombies gave me 50k attack exp in an hour, lawl. Used super sets.) I ask that if I go for prayer, I'm proivided with the armadyl info I asked for, a way to make decent cash/hour and what boss I should go for in melée, in that case. Bladewing
I swear your clocks are wrong, you can get 65k+/hour at armoured zombies (higher defence) with only 70 attack and 60 strength and 15% prayers. L0rdAki
I just synced my clocks...again. They're not out. Also, and chance of a response to the last post? Bladewing
Use abyssal whip/saradomin sword -> undead monster. That's basically the best way to train. As for what you should kill with it... Bladewing
Melee is basically the best at everything. Notable exceptions are Dag Rex, Dag Prime, Barrows, Armadyl, Aviansies, Ice Strykewyrms. Range can compete kills/hour wise on a few things in Kuradal's, such as hellhounds, greaters, blues, gargoyles.
