D. V. Devnull
Hello, Tip.It Forum Staff... B) I was just logging on to the Tip.It Forums this morning, and suddenly found a load full of these "Icon" phrases on my screen, in place of where images should be present. When I went to right-click in FireFox and select "View Image" with a middle click in order to put it in a new tab in an attempt to get it to load, I instead got the following, and not the image that was supposed to appear: The image http://forum.tip.it/public/style_images/runetips/user_popup.png cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.I looked at it once, hit shift-reload (bypassing cache) to attempt to get it to load, even tried the added functionality of the Show Image extension I've got loaded in this version of FireFox, and upon getting over at least half the frustration I was feeling, started this thread. So, the problem is either at your end, or due to some pesky router between me and you. Anywho, could you please check that the image is present on your server in the first place??? ~Mr. D. V. Serpent Eye
A techie would be able to provide a more concrete answer for you, but the image seems to be loading fine for me.
Sentry_Wolf
I am in the same boat as SerpentEye, it's loading perfectly fine for me. Perhaps its a problem on your end.
obfuscator
All images working fine for me as well. Try a hard refresh and/or a different browser. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
D. V. Devnull
Try a hard refresh Did that when I bypassed the cache with a shift-reload... so that's already tried. :( and/or a different browser. Wish I had one to try... Internet Explorer isn't allowed here where I live with my parents, and we don't have any alternate browsers because I can't get my dad to install any... (Of course, I can't blame him... There is NO perfect equivalent to AdBlock Plus on any other browser right now. At least, that I know of...) Perhaps its a problem on your end. I haven't changed anything here... And I know my dad hasn't... So the problem definitely isn't mine, since everything else here is working well beyond perfectly... Might be my ISP, Verzion, that's doing it, but I'll have to get my dad's help with that. :geek: It would appear that, long and short, I'm pretty much screwed then... Oh well... I'll just have to pray it starts working again. -.- ~D. V. "Why does trouble always find me?" Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... homerman
It's happened a few times to me, but it always rectifies itself within a few minutes. It's normally when my connection is slow that I experience it. I cannot see how it is tip.it's fault though when it only happens to a specific user. It could be due to a potential permissions issue, which is part of why I began the thread. Of course, I don't think I made that potentially apparent... Anywho, I'm waiting to see if it will fix itself... no dice so far. :( ~D. V. "whoops..." obfuscator
If it was a permissions issue it would be affecting other users, and it isn't. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti

There are thousands of people with the Member rank, I'm sure they would have had a similiar issue if it were a problem with forum permissions. Laikrob
Moved to Tech & Computers, as it seems like a problem on your end. Laikrob,Tip.It Moderator. You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now?
D. V. Devnull
Nevermind... this one's Case Closed already... been a few days since I could get to this specific PC, and thankfully the browser's cache was willing to come unstuck this time... What a headache, though. :wall: ~Mr. D. V. "Bah... why does trouble find me?" Devnull (p.s.: If a moderator sees this thread, please lock it... It needs to die...)
