K4ylan
Make sure you save it as ".doc" file. ~~~The Harpy List~~~Harpy Facts~~~It's Super Effective~~~The Beginning~~~Harpy Therapy Center~~~Alg~~~Jedi Harpy~~~Rohirrim~~~Attenuation~~~
Gandorf61
Your school probably has Office 2003 or earlier and on your computer you're probably using Office 2007 or the Office 2010 Beta. When you save your file on your computer go Save As>Word 97-2003. By doing it this way you save it as a .doc file instead of a .docx file which can't be opened up in earlier versions of Microsoft Office. Solartide
Easy way: Tell your school's tech dept to install the patch, KB something or another. Hard way: Use a NT password reset cd to blank the admin password, log on as admin, download and install the patch yourself.Deny any knowledge of tampering with equipment. Bad911
Use .rtf, the file might get corrupted if you change it to .doc. (He didn't exactly tell us he typed it up with his own version of Microsoft.)".rtf" is Rich Text Format, its pretty much a universal text format like VLC player. ____
I support the use of .rtf file format for projects while you're working on them, and .pdf as the version you hand in. .pdf opens on basically anything (same as .rtf) but your formatting is not going to break depending on what reader you use, etc and what fonts are available on the other machine, so nice and win.
