So we've worked out that slayer's no good ATM...:L

What should I be doing now? I do farm herbs, manage kingdom, fletch broads, ect. Also, should I sell my herbs now? (see first post for bank pick, got about 200 more herbs since then.

No we haven't, we've worked out there are better ways to train separate stats

If you ever plan on training slayer, then do it now

On a casual day, I'll do a farming run between every slayer task.

So range slayer tasks? :S

I meant that slayer's no good for my needs.

Drops: Black Mask.

Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.

And I don't recommend that you ranged slay exclusively. Personally, I'm ranged/mage slaying because I can't stand training those skills any other way.

Sorry...I'm just a little overzealous as I have no idea what I should be doing, as everyone's saying do something different >_<

I just want the most efficiant way to get money and/or exp (the goals i listed) without being overefficiant (If you get what I mean).

Drops: Black Mask.

Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.

Slayer is only good if you want slayer levels. If you don't care for slayer levels don't bother.

I really think you underestimate slayer.

From personal experience, I got 90k melee xp/h, 40k range xp/h, 700k profit/h and about .8 summoning xp per slayer xp so 26.4k summ xp/h or 66 crims.

Since this was at pretty much maxed stats I'll assume the xp rates for the other methods are also with maxed stats, I don't know if it will scale down equally for lower levels but I guess we might as well assume it does.

To beat, in ten hours:

7m gp

650 crimsons

900k melee xp

400k range xp

How:

Waterfiends: 160 crimsons hour, 90k xp/hour, 25k range xp/hour, 300k gp/hour

Armoured Zombies: 140k melee xp/hour, 200k gp/hour

Tormented Demons: 3m gp/hour, 20k melee xp/hour, 12 crimsons, 21 blues

4 hours of Waterfiends: 640 crimsons, 360k xp, 100k range xp, 1,200k gp

3.75 hours of AZs: 525k xp, 750k gp

1 hour of chinning: 300k range xp, -600k

1.25 hour of TDs: 4m gp, 25k melee xp, 16 crimsons, 27 blues

Total:

10 hours: 5,350 gp, 910k melee xp, 400k range xp, 656 crimsons, 27+ blues

So you'd get 16 crims, 27 blues and 10k melee xp at the cost of 1.6m.

Even if you assume 600k/h profit it would be better (or at least not worse). The only flaw is that the profit downright sucks at under 83 slayer, but you have to get there some way really.

I'm just trying to prove slayer isn't as bad as people make it out to be, since I got maxed combat from it pretty fast and made quite some money on the way, I'm sure I wouldn't have done that faster some other way.
