Barbarian Assault - Queen - Strategies...

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm trying to smuggle an extremely fragile character through wave 10 of BA (if you click on my sig you'll be able to guess which), and if anybody knows about any safe spots or strategies that can keep a noob alive in there, I'd love to know!

Thanks!

There is only 1 effective queen strategy I've ever seen in use that has a chance to keep a noob alive.

2 healers, 1 collect, 1 defend, 1 attack.

Do your jobs as fast as you can then when queen pops up all turn of auto-retaliate and hang near the healing pool.

1 healer stays at pool keeping everyone up, while anyone who hasn't finished their job darts off with the other healer to do so.

Then you go through the egg making business in a similar fashion.

Getting a noob through will be virtually impossible, but doable, even players well into the level 100s come close to death often in wave 10

Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills ::  Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA Rewards

Dragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue

there are only 3 things to say, get the job done as fast as posible.

stay near the pool and get healed by the he4alers, OR run under the queen, i think you should be safe but it will be very hard not to die when se trys to attack you.

I'm a Brony and proud of it!

Whoever gets targeted by the Queen should run underneath her (yeah no one take that outside of context), this way she can't attack you, but will "dance" your around until you come out from underneath her, or she targets someone else. While she is "dancing", she won't attack anyone.

Ooh wow, interesting trick. I wonder if I could if I could keep her "dancing" for a long time at a stretch.

Does she lay eggs while "dancing"?

Could you not just be a healer yourself and sit there and suck it back at the pond?

There's a slight delay, and the max hit from the queen is enough to one hit.

Disclaimer: The above is probably inaccurate.

Yes. In fact if you had everyone other than those people gathering resources to stand under the Queen, you might be able to eliminate damage altogether (except when you run out to get resources) from the Queen. Beware she still spawns Spawns though.

This same trick can be applied almost anywhere. Whenever you are fighting a big monster (ex. a boss like Graardor) and you need to heal/pot, stand on top of the boss so it can't hit you while you heal or pot up.

Except Corp Beast and several monsters in Dungeoneering.

Oh yes, a few monsters have a "stomp" attack where they hit you if you are in the same square as them. Watch out for that, but as mentioned above, that's only Corp and a selected few Dungeon Bosses.

I used to play BA with a girl who had a level 15 account. As the only healer, she kept our entire team alive - including herself - during the queen. I'd say it's possible if you're the healer, plus you have another healer who's good enough to do most of the work. It's definitely possible.

To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

[i tried it once as a level 1 healer, and drinking from the pool only healed me by about 20 life points per sip. Perhaps I'd have a better chance if I worked my way up to level 5 on the lower waves, and massively improved my defense and magic stats. Or is there a better way for a healer to heal him/herself than by drinking from the pool? I didn't have much time to experiment...

Oh wow, that's encouraging. Good to know!

Then I guess I'll hold off on corp slaying with this character for now. :-D

While I don't remember the queen's max hit, I'm pretty sure it's higher than 90 lp. She hits every one at once. As such, I can't really figure out how someone without 200-300ish lp can do this, even on a stunt run.

EDIT: RSWiki says 130 lp max hit. Lower than I thought, but still capable of one hitting you.

If you can get it, everyone on the team should bring Excalibur or Enhanced Excalibur for the defense/healing.
