What are the best Herbs to farm for profit?

Are Snapdragons still good?

Should I use the Herbs for Herblore or should I sell them?

I don't know about Snaps or Rannars, but I personally grow Toadflax. With a very low mortality rate, each seed is a profit of ~30k+. I average about 7.5 herbs per patch, so you'll probably get around 8 or so (super compost and magic secateurs were used).

 

Seed: 1,400

Toadflax: 4,350

8 herbs: 34,800

40 herbs (five patches): 174k

Total seed cost: 7k

Final profit: 167k (or 133.6k/hr)

 

I don't recommend using them for Herblore.

I think snapdragon and wergali are the best two (snaps if you have secateurs). Not sure about whether or not to use them for herblore, i tend to just sell

I highly suggest wergs, if you can manage to get some seeds. Consider the profit margins: i bought 600 seeds when they were 1k each. I get a total of ~35 herbs per patch run. I use 5k worth of seeds and used to get 350k in herbs. I just checked the ge, and it looks like they tanked for some reason to about 6k per herb. Although the profits are less, you still make over 200k per herb run with no risk of losing expensive seeds.

I plant a Ranarr seed in the Trollheim patch with supercompost and I plant Toadflax with supercompost in all the other 4 places.

 

I always make at least ~200k.

Toadflax is a very good option for money, even if its not great for money

You can make it into (unf) potions for about 250-300 more profit on each herb.

All herbs have the same death rate.

I'd recommend a variety of seeds:the highest seed you have access to in Fally if you have the achievement shield for extra exp (If the money isn't too bad), less costly seeds like avantoe or toadflax in Port Phasmys, Ardy, and Catherby, and then a high value seed like ranarr or snapdragon in the my arm patch for guaranteed high profits.
