Now that I have 91 rc, I have decided i will work on herblore for extremes. My gameplan is to make super atks till 84, use ales to make spec restores till 85. My initial thought was to make super antifires till 87/88, but then i realized how long that would actually take. Not only will picking the feathers become incredibly tedious, but i dont think ill ever need that many antis. My question is as follows: what should i make from 85 herblore until i get 88? Also, what should i do with my 3k restore special pots? i cant imagine i will ever be able to use them all, unless of course i am missing an obvious application. Any comments about this endeavor would be appreciated.

Use them if you can. At least you get them for free. If you make brews or w/e, you sell the pots and don't get anything back. You can bring spec restores to tds and bandos and basically any boss.

Spec restores + D claws = a lot of DPS ;) Also works great with a saramodin godsword. Or when you want to PvP a lot (nobody expects a 3rd d claw spec)

Anyway, you get a few pots to use. I'd say combine tough. Get a few of each extreme as you WILL use extreme attack/str/def/ranged/magic.

I'm not arguing against it, spec restores are like 27 gp/exp, but they're useless.

As soon as i can make extreme atks and up, ill make them. I will definitely be using extreme atks and strs often. So it looks like ill be doing super atks till spec restores, then spec restores to 88 or 89. Is 89 worth it, or is 88 good enough?

Be warned tha spec restores really arn't that useful. Most bosses, it would be more useful to bring an extra brew or something. They're really only good for stuff where invent space isn't an issue (slayer tasks, camping az's/monkeys, ect).

If he gets 88 summoning, inventory space wouldn't be an issue.

Yeah, you majorly misunderstood me. Spec restores are the bomb for exp, but the end product is by and large useless.

You cannot use the untradable potions on pvp worlds for this very reason. Apparently jagex didn't want herblore to become a "combat stat" or something so 3 days after they came out with the new pots, they removed them from pvp.

 

Edit: And sara brews are expensive.

Make brews if you plan to use them shortly or if you make a pretty sum.

 

They're like twice as fast as super attacks, but cost like 3-5 gp/exp more. If you make enough to cover your costs in the time you save, make brews.

Ok. I agree for sure that i should do spec restores from 84-88. I am thinking that brews might be more efficient to get me to 84, based on the fact that i could make 4.3k sara brews and lose ~20m or make 7.8k super atks and lose ~18.5m. I definitely think i can make more than 2m in the time it takes to make 3.5k fewer pots. If it could be confirmed by somebody, that would be awesome :)

you can add seconds to unf potions at about 1800 potions an hour. Making the unf goes about twice as fast, so thats about an hour to make the unf pots, and about an 2 hours to add the seconds. So you would need to be able to make 700k an hour roughly to make up the difference

Excellent, thanks for confirming. I decided i will turf my super atks and just go with sara brews. Now to sell my 5.5k unf irit pots and 7.5k eye of newts... any buyers? :P
