how many scrolls do i need? i have 29 i got from yaha a bit ago would that be enough or do i need a lot of them?

 

I used about 40 scrolls during the fight. I would get a few more, but not too many. You can store up to 90 in a helm of neitiznot, so don't get more than that.

thats a nice setup but i have almost none of that except helm,whip,gloves,boots,and ring...so can u suggest some alternatives?

I'm sure barrows armor is just as good, probably better, since it gives higher def.

What did you pray against him? im going to take it since ur in melee distance u pray melee?

Because it is alot easier. You can hit up to 2000 (i think?) with ruby bolts which kinda hastens the fight by....alot. Melee is good, but range is preferred.

im going to try melee round first then ill range assuming that fails horribly

I also wouldn't recommend the Explorer's Ring as it doesn't help all that much and you'll lose it on death, not hard to replace just kindof annoying for barely any benefit. The ring slot is not very useful here, so if you don't have an archer's ring or other fremmy melee ring for this first run then don't bother getting them.

i think i might know what im doing wrong, do i use my ruby or diamond bolts first?

I have/had pretty rubbish stats compared to "high" leveled people and I found him pretty damn easy. I would have killed him, but I didn't understand that he couldn't mage me in his final form so he healed because I wasn't standing next to him.

 

Anyway, you should use diamond bolts for the whole fight EXCEPT when you're frozen and he's charging. This is so he doesn't get you to low hp and then your bolts spec you for the ko.

 

Oh and the bolt spec is limited to 750.

Reg rests work perfectly fine, they can usually offset about 2-3 doses of brews so they're pretty potent; the reason people like the spec rests is that it also heals pray but you aren't going to be using up that much prayer during the fight, 1-2 pots at most. Honestly I just tanked all of his hits, made the bombs a lot more manageable because I kept getting ko'ed from them, just keep trying!
