A0z9 Posted May 21, 2010 Share Posted May 21, 2010 Hey guys, I had a sudden idea about a good April Fools joke. You all know that Diango in Draynor sells joke toys, right? What if they'll make a kind of a toy weapon called 'Pwnage Maul'. It'll be a bit orange in colour and looks a bit like the maules you get in Daemonheim. Diango would sell it to you for 300gp and your character will get overexcighted and dreams of becoming the best worrior ever. Its examine script would be, "A ferocious-looking maul, but is it ferocious?" And the best part would be that when the player wields it, he'll find out that it is the weakest possible weapon in the game, about -150 in all stats. It also would have an emote which makes the character raises the maul and shouts, "I shall pwn you!" and it'll stop. So guys, what do you think? La Vallett1 A.k.a. They'd nvr genuinely release a "pwnage maul" where as people fully expected Horses, Dragon Plate and Dragon Kite as they were named at time of release. There no items in game that use names like "pwnage" so even if they did realise it it wouldn't fool anyone.The whole point of april fools is subtleness.Jagex released Horses, Dragon Plate and Dragon Kite all of which were much hyped potential updates at the time and the wording is clearly in keeping with the items people expected. People read Dragon Plate or Dragon Kite they go to Dragon Platebody and Dragon Kiteshield, they fact the item then turns out to be a spinning plate and a literally kite is funny as you have been fooled. Who in their right mind is gonna see "we've released pwnage maul" and think its an actual serious item?
