Cacmypants
*points at barbed bolts* THAT... 1. 51 fletch to make? +12 ranged strength?2. Can only go on bronze bolts? That means the tips only increases the bolts strength by +2?! Solution:Make barbed tips increased ranged strength well over the best gem that can go on that particular metal (having said... allow the barbed tips to be attached onto every kind of bolt, provided the player has a high enough fletching level... requirements update proposal: barbed bronze: lv12barbed iron: lv42barbed steel: lv51barbed mithril: lv60barbed adamant: lv68barbed rune: lv75 Also, I'm aware that barbed bolts give a significant portion of fletching experience per bolt as it stands (almost 10exp), but nobody fletches ammo for training... well at least not ammo that is COMPLETELY useless. Kalafai
Pretty much every feature of the ranging guild needs a re-work, from only one type of reward (throwing axes) having any value at all, to their micro games being broken (hourly respawn, and despawn of tower archers), to just the trashy look of the place itself. I think rather than complain about any one feature, most players would just call for a re-write of the area.
Bladewing
Barbed bolts are pretty funny actually. About a week ago I bought ~40k of each tips and bronze bolts, made into barbed bolts, then sold for max. Profit and good xp. Nomrombom
Range guild definitely needs an update. In fact, ALL guilds could use an update. Weapons and armor and new quests are simply FAR outstripping the uses of most guilds, especially the range guild, and possibly the mage guild. And plenty of skills don't even HAVE a guild... I'd call for a big guild redo and make them more useful than they are right now. PM me for fitocracy invite
dargonhuman
I'm a miner/smither in-game, and I don't even remember the last time I set foot in the Mining Guild... I've found so many more attractive options for training those two skills - particularly Mining - that it's just not worth it. Ooh, 30-some Coal and a measly 5 Mithril rocks? This is worth getting 60 Mining for? Nah, I'll go to the Haunted Mine, or heck, even the Edgeville Dungeon, since even that's got better offerings, which is sad because Edgeville Dungeon mine predates the Mining Guild...The other guilds I've been to are rubbish too; Crafting Guild? Pfft, please, the gold mine near Keldagrim (the one you need the Gold Helmet to access) is better, and less crowded. The only people who benefit from the guilds are f2p, and they can't even access most of them! Even as f2p, I rarely went to the Mining Guild, preferring other mining spots like the Wildy mines to get my ores. Heck, when I was f2p, the Mining Guild was a better shortcut between Falador and Edgeville than it was a place to train. Of course, now it even useless and obsolete as a shortcut, given I can tele to Varrock and use the underwall Agility shortcut in the GE to get to Edgeville faster. If anyone wants to argue that the alternative methods I've mentioned are quest rewards and the guilds are just skill rewards, thanks for pointing out the point Cacmypants was making - guilds, as they currently stand, are obsolete and worthless to anyone who has done the quests. It'd be nice to see the various Guilds become somewhat dynamic, with additional rewards and content unlocked the further you progress, and possibly with some quest-unlocked content. I'm not familiar enough with most of the various quests or guilds to actually make useful suggestions for how to implement this, but in regards to just the Mining Guild, they could take all the higher level rocks currently outside the guild - the mith and addy in particular - and move them in the guild. They could also add a pickaxe store inside the guild that offers lower prices than Nurmof. And that's just for starters... Part of the Star Traks network. (^^Clicky!) Irony: An amnesiac rediscovering they have an eidetic memory.

Ummmmmm.....................Not much to say. If you want to find me in Runescape, my name is not applyapple. It is vetoscadiva. Complain as you like about Jagex, but think about what they've done. How many MMORPG designers go around to creating as complex an in-game world as Jagex? They do need to get around to making a equipable knife, though. With everyone's complaining about updates, it's amzing that there isn't a forum topic on the fact that the chat box says "You can't reach that" (as opposed to "I can't reach that!"). Kalafai
I find the mining guild useful actually, if I superheat it all into bars, then I can stay for quite a while. Might even forgo banking and run up to the mine's anvil since I already have runes to alch the platebodys I'd make. Crafting guild had it's use for me for about 10 levels, mostly for the gold there. Warriors guild... well, lets face it, everyone just spams mithril animated armour til they have enough tickets for the reward. Runecrating has it's uses - astral teletab ftw! Hung out in the cooking guild making apple pies for a while. Magic guild... I can't even find the guy to buy battlestaves from anymore...
Cacmypants
Warriors guild... well, lets face it, everyone just spams mithril animated armour til they have enough tickets for the reward. Also, if you have decent strength (90+), you can constanty throw heavy shots upstairs, since you can just rest off the energy usage. Diddn't take very long to a get enough tokens for a rune defender that way, like an 1 hour in total. The main problem here is how badly the guilds have been neglected, and how limited their usage is. There are only a few guilds that can stand up to their name (namely the fishing guild, which I think is more effective at training cooking than the cooking guild (based purely on the resources the guild itself provides)) It would also be pretty awesome if there was a guild above that of legends, like a grandmaster guild. Dragon kiteshield much? Or how about dragon warhammer and shortsword?
