blackeagle4
Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me to install the new Runescape client? When i try to install it says it cannot because it doesn't have sufficient privileges, although this is the only use account on my computer, and i have full permissions.. Is there anything i can do to get it to work?
nightshade53
Tried running it as administrator? In windows 7 that's: Right Click -> Run as Administrator rather than double clicking it (think it works in vista too)

I've moved it around to see if anything would change but alas nothing.. Off-topic: You might be interested in the new client, apparently it installs to over 300MB which means no browser required!

Bad911
You could always disable UAC (if you haven't already) and see if that works. Just type "msconfig" in your run box from your start menu, then go to the Tools tab in the system configuration prompt, then scroll down and you should see:"Disable UAC" And"Enable UAC".Highlight Disable UAC and click launch, you'll have to restart. Its worth a shot, please re-enable it if it doesn't work, its a good security feature.
LambShankz
If you can navigate around in the command prompt then you could open CMD[Caution: Executable File] in admin mode by holding CTRL SHIFT when you press enter to open it, then you can run the install through cmd and not have the admin problem, It just worked for me anyway. This worked. Takes a bit of computer know-how, and a bit of common sense but it works :D Thankyou!
