The extra range defence causes a lot more of his range attacks to splash, allowing you to eat less, attack more, and last longer, for a slight decrease in accuracy. You are missing the fundamental knowledge of Runescape needed to answer basic questions. Defender gives attack bonus and strength bonus. The bonus is pretty small, as to not increase a player's power too much. This should ONLY be used when Defense is almost unneeded. DFS gives a massive Defense bonus. The Shield slot was, guess what, intended for shields. The Shield will dramatically increase your kills per trip, and also reduces the amount of time you need to eat. Simply that alone would result in higher overall damage. Dungeoneering isn't a skill. I'm faster than bots at Sorceress Garden. PM me if you want to chat. My PM is always off. My keyboard is on fire.
