If your flail soldiers were charged by cataphracts, they'd probaly have the first several rows entirely bowled over, and then if they counter attacked, they would be more useful in that regard. Also, flails don't work well in packed spaces, so you couldn't pack em as closely as pikemen or spearmen. ---- Next five year period starts after the battle report on the 11th btw. :) Master of your domain? None of us understand boats enough to make a better design than what they had ages ago, without stepping over the point of impossible for the time. My dad and I were the only ones there (except the throwing weapons marshall and her children, it was at their house), and we got to toss tomahawk-style axes and throwing knives that were just a bit bigger than these:All in all, it was an awesome experience. By the end, I could get a multiple point hit about 2/3rds of my throws from 15 feet with the axes. The knives were more difficult, and I didn't do much practice with them. It was a 2 1/2 hour practice, I got a good workout and didn't break a sweat.
