Knight_Zaros
Ok so I've done the MTK quests and figured that out on my own got it profiting blah blah blah. Good to go! Now I want to continue my trend of making some money instead of just spending it all why still advancing my farming level at a significant rate cause thats my favorite non-combat skill. So I'm going to be farming trees (pineapple and willow) for experience, and farming herbs for a healthy profit (hopefully). Key statsLvl 80 FarmingLvl 73 summoning Lvl 50 agilityLvl 61 construction (nice house with one teleport room, glory, and can be located anywhere). Money is not a limit but once all is said and done I want to be profiting on my herbs. Wood Trees: In the Tree Gnome Stronghold just west of the agility training area (Spirit Trees or Gnome Glider) Varrock Castle (Varrock teleport)West of Lumbridge (Lumbridge teleport)Falador Garden (Falador teleport)Eastern Taverley (Falador teleport) Fruit Trees: Brimhaven (West Patch) (Ardougne teleport)West of Gnome Maze (Castle Wars teleport)Gnome Stronghold (Gnome glider or Spirit tree)South of White Wolf Mountain (Camelot teleport) On the roof of Troll Stronghold in Trollheim, upon the completion of 'My Arm's Big Adventure' Quest. Do however note that this is a herb patch only. (Trollheim teleport.) North of Ardougne (Ardougne teleport) North of Catherby (Camelot teleport) South of Falador (Falador teleport or Explorer's ring (3) teleport) So I've been looking through a few guides and I've come up with these patches that I believe I can get to easy enough. But I'm kind of out of season meaning that I'm a little lost can someone help sort through a run for me. Important to know I am just going to do one farming run once a day, including the herb patches even though they will be done well before. Not looking for max profits per day just some profits each day. (Lazy farmer lol) I will be paying farmers to watch the plots obviously, besides the payment, rake, watering can, spade, teleports, and running gear what else do I need, etc? What herb should I do, and what payment is required to watch? So my questions are this, any special order I should roll with to make things fastest/easiest? Any special items/quests? I see that there are things for extra yield/experience how impactful are these? Vulxai
So my questions are this, any special order I should roll with to make things fastest/easiest? Any special items/quests? I see that there are things for extra yield/experience how impactful are these? Basically if you can combine a certain teleport, do those patches together, otherwise, just teleport to whichever one you want, the path won't really make a difference as you'll teleport to the same spot no matter where you are. I'd get the Magic Secateurs if you don't, and if you have it, the Scroll of Life can come in handy. So basically just use Super Compost, and wield the Secateurs when you harvest them, you should be good. That's all the advice I can give. Nice to see you back, by the way. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~

All_Is_Great
Use a skills necklace/ combat bracelet, fishing guild/ range guild respectively, to get to the ardy patch faster. Even better if you have done the ardy achievement diaries. Also, use an ectophial to get the patch at port phasmastys. I've never done trees before so can't help you there, but my guess is the spirit trees work really well, with one at GE, one in the stronghold, and one in the gnome village. zotto
You could add limpwurts to your run. Minimal effort, extra profit. Don't bother watering them. I never do.
Kidd_Varrow
The leprechauns found at each patch can hold all your farming equipment for you, so take advantage of them. You'll especially want to store lots of supercompost with them. You'll be using these on your herb patches, since you cannot pay a farmer to watch them. Even though the Trollheim patch herbs will never die, it's still worth it to use supercompost there to increase the harvest. Also note that payments can be noted. If you've done at least the medium Falador tasks, the shield gives an experience boost in the Port Sarim patch, but it's not much, so don't worry too much if you don't have it. Do Fairy Tale Part 1 if you haven't already for the magic secateurs, which increase your harvest by 10%, rounded up. Also, the ectophial from Ghosts Ahoy is an easy way to get to the Morytania patch. Finally, starting Mourning's Ends Part 1 gets you access to the Lletya fruit tree patch (you don't have to finish the quest if you don't want to). Jaffy1
So my questions are this, any special order I should roll with to make things fastest/easiest? I will be paying farmers to watch the plots obviously, besides the payment, rake, watering can, spade, teleports, and running gear what else do I need, etc? Other than what you listed there would be no additional items required aside from a hatchet and some coins (optional).. Just made sure you've got one of each tool at your leprecaun and you'll always have what you need. ;) I would recommend you store your items at the leprecauns, and take them out when you need them (usually the tools you use per run would be in your inventory, but it always pays off to have them at you leprecaun). For teleports, it depends how you organise your run - this is what I do personally and what I teach in a farming guild: Daily fruit, tree and herb run:Start in Lumbridge and bring 5 saplings and 5 payments (payments can be noted).Teleports: house (when house in Taverly), Falador and Varrock. Lumbridge - Home/Lumbridge teleport.Taverly - house teleport (when house somewhere else, Falador).Falador - Falador teleport.Varrock palace - Varrock teleport. Banking could be done at the Grand Exchange to get fruit tree saplings and payments. No teleports required. Gnome maze fuit tree - Spirit tree from the Grand Exchange, then follow Elkoy.Gnome stronghold fruit tree - Spirit tree (after following Elkoy back to the tree).Gnome stronghold tree patch. Again here can be banked. If you have done Mourning's End part 1 you can access the Lletya fruit tree patch - in which case you can bring a teleport crystal.Otherwise an Ardougne teleport and a boat fare would be needed, along with a Camelot teleport. Brimhaven fruit tree - Spirit tree (83 farming, stranger plant familiar can boost at level 80 if you wish to have one there, otherwise Ardougne teleport).Calquat patch - run south from the last fruit tree patch.Lletya - teleport using a crystal. Bank again in Lletya, teleport to Camelot (or Catherby when on lunar) Catherby fruit tree patch.Catherby allotments/herb patches.Continue on herb run, whichever order you please. As a side note I would recommend getting an ardougne cloak 1 or 2 for an easy teleport to the bush patch south of Ardougne. Poison ivy is decent xp for minimal effort. What herb should I do, and what payment is required to watch? Any special items/quests? I see that there are things for extra yield/experience how impactful are these? You cannot pay for herbs. The only herbs that are protected from disease are the ones at the Trollheim patch. The safest would be to do toadflax or avantoe at the moment, combined with snapdragon or ranarr in the Trollheim patch. Minimal estimated herb profit can be calculated by taking the price of 5 herbs, and substracting this by the price of the seed. You could also multiply by 6 or 7 to estimate profit per runs. As for quests/achievements:Lumbridge achievement diary - explorer ring - easy teleport.Ghost ahoy - ectophial - easy teleport.Fairy tale part 1-3 -- magic secateurs (10% increased yield), magic watering can (unlimited water)Falador achievement med-hard - 10% additional experience at the Falador allotment/herb patches when wielding the shield. My Arm's Big adventure - herb patch that cannot be diseased.Ardougne achievement diary easy-med - cloak for teleport to bush patch (and for the cloak 2 one teleport to the ardougne allotments).Mourning's End part 1 - fifth fruit tree patch. Done spamming now, happy farming. ;) Tip.It Website Crew Leader[hide=Quotes]I love it how Jafje comes outa nowhere and answers my questionsHehe now we know what real life does...drugs, drugs, more drugs.
