November 29, 200520 yr He's right that you don't need an anti-virus ONLY if you have all these. *No Internet access. *No removable storage devices. *No dodgy programmers using your PC. Since that's how viruses get into your PC in the first place. ;)
November 29, 200520 yr That's not true Andy, I don't have a anti-virus program and my computer is completely fine. Haven't had one for a year now since I've had my labtop. You just have to know what your doing and have the smarts of computers.

November 29, 200520 yr There are people who can use computers for 100 years, without anti-virus and never get a virus, most of the time it all depends on your own actoins. Having said that, it is still a good idea to have the protection there....just in case you happen to make the odd mistake. But to say that all the virus' are gone, now that is incorrect. It works wonders... Fair enough then. I would try it, but I care a twitch too much about my comp. I'm fine with having AVG on it, even though it has never really found anything worthwhile.
