Storyline to Nomad's Requiem?

Featured Replies

Sorry to bump, but it was stated before that it wasn't definitive whether or not he was a Mahjarrat or simply a strong mage.

Fantastic evidence to the ladder has been mentioned in this thread. Another reason is that fact that he has skin. No other Mahjarrat we've seen (Akthanos, Enankra, Lucien, etc) has skin, instead we see skeletons. Only Sliske has skin, since assumingly if he can change his appearance, he can give himself skin. Nomad is certainly not Sliske, so he's no Mahjarrat.

Mahjarrat are incredibly skilled shapeshifters (Sliske being the best). Azzanadra gives himself skin in Temple at Senntisten, for example. The only reason I personally believe that Nomad might possibly be Bilrach is that they both seem to seek power in strange places. I'm not crossing my fingers, though.

That's true, but that's only an alternate form.

Nomad's tent is his refuge, and there's no reason for him to hide his true appearance.

I would argue that he was too close to Zimberfizz and other players to risk revealing his form. ;)

To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

He never let that dumb imp into his tent. We can assume he was the only "outsider", other than us, to enter the tent. If he was shapeshifting, he wouldn't have a reason to maintain an energy-draining shapeshift spell if there's no use (we learn that it drains Mahjarrat's energy in the Musapah quest).

Very true. I'm starting to lean more towards Nomad not being a Mahjarrat.

I would venture into saying that doesn't necessary mean the Mahjarrat have nothing to do with the quest. Nomad could in fact be some sort of enemy of the Mahjarrat (since the Elite Black Knights tried killing him).

Zaaps and I were just discussing the possibility of Nomad being a Mahjarrat himself. I adamantly believe, though, that Nomad worked for Lucien.
