Da2Shae
So I heard that he was one of the toughest guys in runescape. Can someone explain the storyline to Nomad's requiem? And please, no one sentence replies; thanks. RSN: Cool Guy878 "D2S" (lost all my friends after a 2 year break, feel free to add me.)

SirIzenhime
Nomad was a Mahjaraat, and isn't now. He's now trying to escape from Lucian and his assassins but using Soul Wars to power a throne which gives him strength to fight back. You explore his dungeon and destroy his machines in the process to get to himHe thinks you're an assassin and attempts to kill you. Obtaurian
Yeah, just speculation that he's a Mahjarrat. Nomad and the Mahjarrat Bilrach seem to have a lot in common, hence why it's not a bad guess. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

I don't know what you consider to be a crossover, but Nomad definitely worked for Lucien, so . . . And can you show me the Q&A where a J-Mod stated that the Nomad storyline would never interfere with the Mahjarrat storyline? I find that very hard to believe. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off. It's not lack of imagination.Note I said it is not EXPLICITLY linked. If you want to you can find links there, but you can also find links to almost all the powerful rs characters. It's just speculation. Also I don't think I'm gonna be able to find the QA as it seem it was the Game update FAQ for that week which will be long gone, but hey I know what I read and I've proven time and time again I have an awesome memory and am right about these things. But for the sake of being proveable for this thread I refer back to my first comment, Nomad has no links to any other story all the links you may here of are pure speculation. BeNiceOk
I searched through all the Q&A's around that time period and found none of the them stating Nomad will not show up in a mahjaratt quest. There is more evidence that he WILL show up in a related or semi-related quest to the mahjaratt, but no evidence he wont. Also FYI Nomad DID work for Lucien indirectly and this was part of the beginning of the quest, so you just missed it or didn't pay attention to it. Since you missed it, this is what happened at the beginning dialogue. This is put together by a few more well known Runescape historians from the ROSF: During WGS, we find elite mages and archers at surok's disposal. surok is working for lucien, thus by extension, so are his men. During Nomad's requiem, you see Nomad toss aside several of these warriors with his magic, referrencing to them in his pre-fight dialogue as the people he used to work with. therefore, he knows Surok, as he used to work for him.(this is commpounded by his old graphic) when you confront him, he says he plans to use the obelisk to defeat his old master because he doesn't agree with his actions. That, in a nutshell, means he's out for surok. due to the fact when you defeat him he says "you... you have doomed this world", we can assume he's aware of the fact Lucien is becoming God-like using Surok as his puppet, and plans to do something about it. so in fact, Nomad is aware of Lucien and his threat
Sy_Accursed
Its a possibility, the dialogue more than anything suggests he was working for Surok rather than Lucien. But its not definite so its still speculation. And as I said I think it was stated in the FAQ not a QA, hence it is lost. Plus all you theorising works on the assumption Surok isn't up to his own goals, the diaries etc in WGS all hinted that Surok only worked for Lucien when it benefited his own goals and I think if I recall rightly they partially confirmed he was seeking the Stone of Jas and its power BEFORE he sided with Lucien and some dialogue at the end suggested he was some what betrayed. It's quite possible hes after his own power or working under the Dragonkin and that he employed Nomad for his own cause and not as part of Lucien.Equally the fact they are attacking Nomad doesn't totally prove they were his masters or working for his masters, simply they were after his power or wanted to stop him also. All the quest dialogue in total for Nomads Requiem excluding all speculative content shows is Nomad was gathering power and he was rebelling against his former master who he believes to be a great threat to the world & that for some reason the elite mages and archers Surok uses were after him. Except he's fairly afraid of his old master, thus building up the power base; Surok really isn't that powerful. If the Elite Warriors/Magers/Rangers work for Surok, who in turn works for Lucien, then they work for Lucien. And Paw Claw, your speculation seems a lot more...abstract? derived? less substantial? then the speculation supporting the fact that Nomad was trying to build up enough power to beat the crap outta Lucien. Nomad being attacked by Lucien's minions and the fact he used to work for a master that he was very afraid of has absolutely nothing to do with Lucien. You're going out on a huge limb by arguing that there's even a slight possibility that this quest has nothing to do with the Mahjarrat storyline.
