Whenever im on the Runescape client it keeps crashing. So i decided to start playing using the browser but after 10-15 minutes the same thing happens. the screen just goes black.

 

Anyone else have this problem? or know how to solve it?

 

EDIT: for some reason my bro can play with out that happening.

First ports of call:

Run full virus scan

Run full spyware scan

Clear cache.

Uninstall java and reinstall

it cant be that though my bro plays on same computer and it doesnt happen to him. ill do that any way though

has no one got any answers. i did what Paw_Claw said to do and it didnt work

I dont know if this applies to you, but people with the latest version of the Mac osx are unable to run RS in anything but safe mode because something is wrong with the drivers... if its a mac that might be it, if not then sorry i have no idea

By Runescape client, do you mean the official one? If so, try playing on Firefox or Chrome and see what happens.

I've been using Firefox and having the same problem. How do I clear the cache?

You could try using SK, even though that used to be rather prone to crashing,

it might be certain spot in RS being crashy...

 

Walking to door toward Throne room on Miscellania crashes for me sometime

 

And recently, new dungeoneering dungeon came out, dwarf mining dungeon (one with bank deposit in it) crashes when I was mining one of silver.

 

That's about it, anywhere else is fine.

I've had this a few times, once I was just running through the haunted woods and the screen just went black then again I just clicked the world map and it went black

Yea it always crashes in that dungeon. the dwarf mining one thats where i always am
