Is there an official Tip.it clan chat?

Someone asked me the other day if I was able to get into the "official" Tip.it clan chat, a clan chat you supposedly reach by typing in the account name "hyt." He told me that this cc was very exclusive - and sure enough, I wasn't able to enter; I was informed that my rank was not high enough. It didn't seem likely to me that Tip.it's official chat wouldn't be set up to prevent people from casually dropping in. Was this Tip.it's official chat? If it is, how can I get inside? If it isn't, is there an official cc? If there isn't, is there another cc where tip.iters gather?

Hyt is a guy that regulars W99 (the Tip.It homeworld), but his is not the chat that tip.iter's use.

 

When they refered to hyt, they mean the HYT clan chat which serves as the unofficial Tip.It clan chat, currently under the leadership of Lady Heinous/Shyla (Shyla is her current RSN)

 

There is also the old Blogscape clan chat, currently lead by Codguy, but this chat isn't used by as many regular Tip.Iters as Shyla's clan chat

 

Both clan chats are unofficial as such, but a fair number of Tip.It staff (crew, TET, mods and even an admin or two) use the Lady Heinous clan chat

And hope that you can read the post properly... I just tried, and in FF 3.5.7 it is choking severely. Only the first of the four hide-tagged things are expanding. (And yes, I've started a forum thread about it.)

As a chat Mod in it, that's 100% not true. you'll only be kicked for consecutive trolling, abuse, swearing and breaking Tip.It/RS rules in it.

 

(also fml/[bleep] are banned due to players consistently saying it. I don't make the rules.)

I never witnessed any of those.

 

OT: Shyla hosts a great CC, and I'm sure you'll enjoy your time spent there, should you choose to go on in. It's a wonderful community. ;)
