Efficient solo Dungeoneering

I'm going for 80 Dungeoneering (level 71 right now) and I would like to know if I'm levelling it in the right way.

When the dungeon starts, I buy a hatchet, pickaxe, hammer, tinderbox, knife and an empty vial. I also buy some rune essence to create gatestones and to cure myself with Cure Me. I don't bother killing ANY monsters in a room that leads to a dead end and I DON'T kill any monsters in a room where there is no guardian door. I rush the first 15 floors because those give too little xp.

Am I doing it right? Should I rush more floors before I complete the other ones? Should I kill every monster?

Ignore everyone your method is crap.

1 - 24 do C1 rushing in F2P, every 2 floors reset your game so you don't go over C2. Do in F2P because it is about 30 seconds faster than P2P. Floors 25 - 35 do larges with 5 people on Complex 6. Get 'em fast, a good time is 30 - 35 minutes but pro's can get down to about 20 if they are lucky.

But he's soloing. Sure, it'd be more efficent to do the higher floors with a team (I personally follow the exact same method), but...

I, too, have completely given up on w117 teams. Your method is fine, and you should do what Squareroot2 says, too.

I've been doing mediums on all furnished floors in search of a night spider, though.

Your method is solid. Regarding the floor to stop rushing on, could you tell me how about fast you complete each of the settings you do, and the approximate Prestige experience (the second one)?

A medium dungeon takes me 20 minutes to complete if I'm soloing. I don't know if that's fast, because I just read that people can complete large dungeons in 20-30 minutes  Even though I don't see how I can complete my floors any faster. I place gatestones when necceserily, I don't make armor or food and I don't kill monsters in rooms that lead to a dead end or when there is no guardian door. I'm doing floor 30-35 right now and I'm getting 12-13k xp per floor. So that's around 36k xp/hr. If somebody can tell me if 20 minutes for one medium floor is normal, please let me know.

Yea but, don't solo it's not efficient lol.

I don't like teaming up with others, but thanks for the rushing advice. I didn't know it was faster in F2P.

The title specifically states solo, not team.

C1 rush til 20, small til 30, meds til 35.

Thanks!

I tried solo meds the other day, then duo with a clanmate. Both beat w117 larges for xp/h on average, even accounting for increased need to prestige rush. Which is only to say, the average w117 team sucks incomparably. A good team knocks the socks off solo any day, but finding one is hard if you're not max everything with 80+ dunge.

I agree with c1 rush for first some floors. Really it depends who you ask. I was doing mid 20s for meds and getting pretty decent exp. Depending on how well you do your c1 prestige rushes, it may tip the favor one way or another as to when you stop rushing, when you switch over to meds, etc etc.

When to exit and reset complexity is debatable. I've had good personal experience with going c1-c4 and then reset. I stay in p2p to get good use out of my binds, for convenience. The true optimizers may disagree, but I doubt it's a huge difference.

Personally, right now my plan is: c1 rush to around 20, med solo/duo up to around 30, w117 up to 35. This is of course flexible, and I'm happy to take other floors if I can get a good large with clanmates, or do more solos if I can't find teams, or rush to prestige earlier if I can expect larges later in return for resetting. Realistically, it's worth losing even a 30s floor to c1 rush if it gets you onto a large with good teammates, assuming you don't already have a reliable dunge clan on demand.

When a dungeon starts, I also buy a bowstring and fishing equipment. At the cost of some extra seconds in the dungeon, I have far fewer food worries and can deal with certain bosses better. I consider it a time/convenience tradeoff, as well as being prepared for the occasional fishing puzzle.

Somewhere between 15-20 minutes is normal for my meds too. Given that w117 is taking me 1.5 hours on average for a large, I'm actually getting comparable exp soloing lower floors.

Don't be afraid to leave rooms for speed. Conversely, don't be afraid to kill stuff for free level mod if it's easy. The majority of exp is still from uncovering the map.

Disclaimer: The above is probably inaccurate.

Most efficient way is to Berserk rush until floor 26, Berserk rushing is complexity 1 solo's. Very fast 3-4min dungs. Then start doing larges 5:5 at floor 26.
